Joint Tactical Exercise “Arab Gulf Security 3” Concludes with Participation of Qatar

Dammam: The joint tactical exercise for the security services of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, Arab Gulf Security 3, which was held over 14 days at the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, concluded on Saturday.
The delegation of the State of Qatar to the closing ceremony was headed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Commander of the Lekhwiya Force Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al-Thani.
The State of Qatar participated with forces from the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya in the exercise which aimed at enhancing the security cooperation, raising the level of coordination, interaction and exchange of experiences between the security services of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to joint planning to confront potential threats and risks.
Commenting on the occasion, HE Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al-Thani praised the level of the forces taking part in the joint tactical exercise, and the high level of coordination and readiness of the various security services, in addition to the implementation of scenarios that simulate potential risks.
HE said that the exercise, in addition to its objectives in raising the efficiency of the security services in the GCC states, contributes to exchanging security expertise and raising the level of security readiness among the sectors of the ministries of interior and the security services in the GCC states.
He noted that the importance of the exercise is reflected in the joint planning and implementation of operations, the exchange of security information, and taking appropriate decisions in the areas of planning, management, command and control, in order to unify concepts and achieve homogeneity and compatibility.
HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Commander of the Lekhwiya Force underlined that the exercise directly contributed to raising the readiness of the participating forces, developing capabilities, enriching experiences, achieving the desired integration of the various services participating in the exercise, and enhancing their capabilities in implementing all procedures and performing the required duties with high skill.
He expressed his confidence that this joint exercise will be reflected in good performance and achieving understanding and harmony in the implementation of joint operations, in a manner that ensures integration of efforts and joint cooperation to achieve the best security experiences.
The State of Qatar is scheduled to host the next edition of the joint tactical exercise for the security services of the GCC states.

الدمام: اختتمت، فعاليات التمرين التعبوي المشترك للأجهزة الأمنية بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية (أمن الخليج العربي 3)، الذي استمر على مدار 14 يوماً بالمنطقة الشرقية بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
وترأس وفد دولة قطر في الحفل الختامي للتمرين، والذي أقيم يوم أمس، سعادة اللواء عبدالعزيز بن فيصل آل ثاني وكيل وزارة الداخلية، قائد قوة /لخويا/.
وشاركت دولة قطر بمجموعة من منتسبي وزارة الداخلية، وقوة /لخويا/ في التمرين الذي هدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الأمني، ورفع مُستوى التنسيق والتفاعل وتبادل الخبرات بين الأجهزة الأمنيّة بدول مجلس التّعاون لدول الخليج العربية، بالإضافة إلى التخطيط المشترك لمواجهة التهديدات والمخاطر المحتملة.
وبهذه المناسبة، أشاد سعادة اللواء عبدالعزيز بن فيصل آل ثاني، بمستوى القوات المشاركة في التمرين التعبوي المشترك من دول مجلس التعاون، وما أظهره التمرين من مستوى عال في التنسيق والجاهزية بين مختلف الأجهزة الأمنية المشاركة وتنفيذ سيناريوهات تحاكي المخاطر المحتملة.
وقال سعادته “إن التمرين بالإضافة إلى أهدافه في رفع كفاءة الأجهزة الأمنية في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، يسهم في تبادل الخبرات الأمنية ورفع مستوى الجاهزية الأمنية بين قطاعات وزارات الداخلية والأجهزة الأمنية في دول المجلس”.
وأوضح أن أهمية التمرين تتجلى من خلال التخطيط والتنفيذ المشترك للعمليات، وتبادل المعلومات الأمنية، واتخاذ القرارات المناسبة في مجالات التخطيط والإدارة والقيادة والسيطرة بهدف توحيد المفاهيم وتحقيق التجانس والتوافق.
وأكد سعادة وكيل وزارة الداخلية، قائد قوة /لخويا/، أن التمرين أسهم بشكل مباشر في رفع جاهزية القوات المشاركة وتطوير القدرات وإثراء الخبرات وتحقيق التكامل المنشود لمختلف الأجهزة المشاركة في التمرين، وتعزيز قدراتها في تطبيق كافة الإجراءات، وتنفيذ الواجبات المطلوبة بمهارة عالية.
وعبّر عن ثقته بأن هذا التمرين الخليجي المشترك سينعكس على حسن الأداء وتحقيق التفاهم والانسجام في تنفيذ العمليات المشتركة، وبما يضمن تكامل الجهود والتعاون المشترك لتحقيق أفضل التجارب الأمنية.
ومن المقرر أن تستضيف دولة قطر النسخة المقبلة من التمرين التعبوي المشترك للأجهزة الأمنية بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
