Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet hailed the great success of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, which was recently hosted by the State of Qatar and received wide regional and international praise and confirmed the state’s readiness to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Cabinet stressed that the Arab Cup, with its harmony and fraternity between the various participating teams and the visiting and resident Arab brothers and the authentic meanings and values it reflected, revived the spirit of Arab solidarity and represented a prominent milestone in the march of Arab sports.
The Cabinet expressed thanks and appreciation to all state agencies that contributed to the impressive preparation and organization of the tournament and provided it with all the means of success.
Moreover, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to limit the COVID-19 spread. The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic. Also, the Cabinet underlined the importance of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine booster dose for eligible individuals to ensure high levels of protection and contribute to maintaining the stability of the health situation in the country.
Then, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:
First – The Cabinet approved a draft Cabinet decision amending some provisions of decision No. 40 of 2017, establishing the national committee for narcotics control.
The national committee for narcotics control of the Ministry of Interior is specialized, among other things, with developing public policy, coordinating official and unofficial efforts in the field of narcotics control and prevention of all its kinds, and directing all concerned authorities, each in its field of competence, to develop detailed plans to combat narcotics import, smuggling, trafficking, promotion, and prevention.
Second – The Cabinet approved a draft decision of the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs regarding the procedures for disbursing from the Zakat Fund account.
Third – The Cabinet approved Qatar Tourism’s participation in the Entrepreneurship Forum series through companies, during 2022.
Fourth – The Cabinet reviewed the report and decisions of the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs and took the appropriate decision regarding them.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية ، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس ظهر يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.
وعقب الاجتماع، أدلى سعادة السيد محمد بن عبدالله السليطي وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي:
في بداية الاجتماع أشاد مجلس الوزراء بالنجاح الكبير الذي حققته بطولة كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021 التي احتضنتها دولة قطر مؤخرا، وبما لقيته من إشادة إقليمية ودولية واسعة، وبما أكدته من جاهزية الدولة لاستضافة بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022.
وأكد المجلس أن بطولة كأس العرب، بما شهدته من تآلف وتآخِ بين مختلف المنتخبات المشاركة والإخوة العرب الزائرين والمقيمين، وبما عكسته من معان وقيم أصيلة، أحيت روح التضامن العربي، ومثلت معلما بارزا في مسيرة الرياضة العربية.
وعبر المجلس عن شكره وتقديره لكافة أجهزة الدولة التي أسهمت في الإعداد والتنظيم المبهر لهذه البطولة ووفرت لها كل سبل النجاح.
ثم استمع المجلس إلى الشرح الذي قدمته سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء، كما أكد المجلس على أهمية تلقي الأفراد المؤهلين الجرعة المعززة من لقاح التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا، لضمان استمرار تمتعهم بمستويات عالية من الحماية، والمساهمة في الحفاظ على استقرار الوضع الصحي في البلاد.
وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:
أولا- الموافقة على مشروع قرار مجلس الوزراء بتعديل بعض أحكام القرار رقم /40/ لسنة 2017 ، بإنشاء اللجنة الوطنية لمكافحة المخدرات.
وتختص اللجنة الوطنية لمكافحة المخدرات المنشأة بوزارة الداخلية، من بين ما تختص به، برسم السياسة العامة وتنسيق الجهود الرسمية وغير الرسمية في مجال مكافحة المخدرات بكافة أنواعها والوقاية منها، وتوجيه كافة الجهات المعنية، كل في مجال اختصاصه، بوضع خطط تفصيلية لمكافحة جلب وتهريب المخدرات والاتجار فيها وترويجها والوقاية منها.
ثانيا- الموافقة على مشروع قرار وزير الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية بشأن إجراءات الصرف من حساب صندوق الزكاة.
ثالثا- الموافقة على مشاركة قطر للسياحة في سلسلة منتديات ملتقى ريادة الأعمال عن طريق الشركات، خلال عام 2022.
رابعا- استعرض مجلس الوزراء تقرير وقرارات الدورة /32/ لمجلس الوزراء العرب المسؤولين عن شؤون البيئة، واتخذ بشأنهما القرار المناسب.
