Building workers get aid from Qatar Charity
قطر الخيرية تقدم مساعدات لعمال الإنشاءات
Doha: Many construction workers expressed their happiness with the food aid provided to them by Qatar Charity (QC), praising such efforts that make them feel like they are part of this community.
This came during Qatar Charity’s food aid distribution to 2,200 company workers in many construction sites within the country. The food aid included fruits, cold water, juices and sweets.
This project is an extension of QC’s efforts for the benefit of workers, in gratitude for their role in the country’s continuous development efforts, a press statement noted.
Qatar Charity’s Programme and Community Development department director Fatima Jumah al-Mohannadi thanked the benefactors in Qatar for supporting QC’s projects and donating generously to its campaigns and programmes implemented within and outside Qatar.
She said QC is always keen to offer its services to the community’s different sections, including workers, who, as Qatar Charity believes, deserve attention and care, in appreciation of their distinguished services and remarkable role in the construction and other projects that are related to the development of the country.
Qatar Charity has previously held many programmes and campaigns for workers, in addition to organising Iftar events, implementing the Udhiyah project and distributing winter aid to them.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, QC has made great efforts to benefit the workers and alleviate the suffering of those affected by the pandemic. It has distributed food packages and preventive and curative kits to them, in addition to launching multilingual awareness drives and supporting the vaccination centre in the Industrial Area with a variety of means for the benefit of workers, the statement adds.
الدوحة: عبّر عدد من العمال في المواقع الإنشائية عن سعادتهم بالمساعدات الغذائية التي قدمتها لهم قطر الخيرية بدعم من أهل الخير في قطر، مشيدين بهذه الجهود التي جعلتهم يشعرون بأنهم جزء من هذا المجتمع.
جاء ذلك خلال قيام قطر الخيرية بتوزيع مساعدات غذائية ” سلال الفواكه والماء البارد والعصائر والحلوى “على 2200 من عمال الشركات في عدد من المواقع الإنشائية المختلفة بالدولة.
ويأتي هذا المشروع امتداداً لمشاريع سابقة استهدفت قطر الخيرية من خلالها شريحة العمال عرفاناً منها بدورهم في جهود التنمية المتواصلة بالدولة، وتشييد بنيتها التحتية وإسهامهم في النهضة التي هم شركاء في تحقيقها.
رعاية مستحقة
وفي تصريح لها تقدمت السيدة فاطمة المهندي مدير إدارة البرامج وتنمية المجتمع بقطر الخيرية بالشكر والتقدير للمحسنين الكرام من أهل قطر على دعمهم لمشاريع قطر الخيرية وتبرعاتهم السخية لحملاتها وبرامجها داخل قطر وخارجها، داعية المولى عز وجل أن يجعل ذلك في ميزان حسناتهم.
وقالت: “إن قطر الخيرية تحرص دائما على تقديم خدماتها لمختلف شرائح المجتمع المحلي بمن فيهم العمال المقيمون، وتخصص لهم حيزاً في برامجها وأنشطتها، وذلك إيماناً منها بأن هذه الشريحة تستحق أن نهتم بها وأن نرعاها، تقديرا لخدماتها المميزة ودورها في المشاريع الإنشائية وغيرها التي ترتبط بالتطور والنمو الذي تشهده بلادنا “.
يشار إلى أن قطر الخيرية سبق أن خصصت عددا من البرامج والحملات الخاصة للعمال وأهمها: حملة “لكم تحية”، ومشروع “سقيا” الذي تخصصه لصالح عمال الإنشاءات والنظافة، بالإضافة إلى تنظيم إفطار صائم ومشروع الأضاحي وتوزيع الحقائب الشتوية لصالحهم.
وقد قامت قطر الخيرية بجهود كبيرة لصالح العمال إبان تفشي جائحة “كورونا” إسهاماً منها في تخفيف معاناة المتضررين من آثارها، وذلك بتوزيع السلال الغذائية والحقائب الصحية الوقائية منها والعلاجية عليهم، بالإضافة إلى حملات التوعية المكثفة عبر مختلف الوسائل الاعلامية والعديد من الوسائط والمنصات وبعدة لغات لصالحهم، ودعم مركز التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا بالمنطقة الصناعية المخصص لهم بمجموعة من الوسائل المتنوعة.
