Vehicles seized for dangerous drifting after video shared online

Doha: The General Directorate of Traffic department in the Ministry of Interior has seized vehicles that were found drifting dangerously on the roads.
After a video showing an SUV doing dangerous stunts like drifting in Leabaib area started circulating on social media, the Traffic Department sprang into action and seized the vehicles.
The drivers of the vehicles were transferred to Public Prosecution for further action and were made to compensate for the damages caused in the street.
The General Department of Traffic published a video and photos of a seized black Land Cruiser on their Twitter handle, which was seen in the video doing dangerous stunts and drifting on the road.
أعلنت الإدارة العامة للمرور ضبط قائدي المركبات الذين قاموا بالتحفيص والتلاعب في منطقة لعبيب وآثاروا الذعر بين مرتادي الطريق.
وذكرت “المرور” عبر حساباتها بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: “بخصوص الفيديو المتداول خلال الفترة الاخيرة والمُتعلق بقيام قائدي مركبات بالتحفيص والتلاعب في منطقة لعبيب نفيدكم بأنه تم ضبط المركبات وحجزها حتى إشعار آخر، وتحويل قائدي المركبات إلى النيابة العامة وإلزامهم بالتعويض عن الأضرار التي تسببوا بها في الشارع”.
وكان نشطاء التواصل الاجتماعي تداولوا مقطع فيديو يظهر قيام مجموعة من قائدي المركبات بالتحفيص والتلاعب في منطقة لعبيب ما تسبب في ذعر بين مرتادي الطريق والإضرار بالممتلكات العامة.
