Ambassador Al Emadi Announces Agreement on Qatari Grant, Opening of Gaza Crossings

Gaza: HE Chairman of Qatar’s Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi announced on Monday that an agreement has been reached regarding the Qatari grant and the opening of the Gaza crossings in order to establish a state of calm and stability in the Strip.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi confirmed that during the past few days, meetings were held with all parties with the agreement to completely reopen the crossings to meet the main needs of the sector, while providing various facilities that would help all parties to get out of the crisis situation and ease the tension in the region.
His Excellency stressed that the meetings achieved positive results that will be built upon in the files and issues related to improving the living conditions of the residents of the Gaza Strip, in full coordination with the United Nations and the Palestinian Authority and in agreement with all parties. He also stressed that these results will have a clear positive impact on improving the living conditions in the Gaza Strip.
He indicated that the procedures related to the disbursement of the Qatari grant to needy families have been completed in agreement with the Palestinian Authority and the UN, pointing out that the disbursement process will start according to the mechanism agreed upon with the UN during September, after the UN completes all technical procedures related to the disbursement process.
HE Ambassador also made it clear that the grant for Gaza employees will be disbursed in coordination with the Palestinian Authority during the coming days, and in agreement with the various parties.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi urged the parties to assume their responsibilities to maintain calm and stability, with the aim of improving the conditions of the population living in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions, and so that international organizations and institutions could also resume implementing various projects, including reconstruction and support for the various sectors in Gaza, the most important of which is the health sector.

غزة: أعلن سعادة السفير محمد العمادي رئيس اللجنة القطرية لإعادة إعمار غزة ،اليوم، عن التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن المنحة القطرية وفتح معابر غزة، وذلك لتثبيت حالة الهدوء والاستقرار في القطاع .
وأكد السفير العمادي أنه عقد خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية، اجتماعات مع كافة الأطراف وتم الاتفاق على إعادة فتح المعابر بشكل كامل أمام احتياجات القطاع الرئيسية، مع تقديم التسهيلات المختلفة التي من شأنها أن “تساعد جميع الأطراف على الخروج من الوضع المتأزم وتخفيف حدة الاحتقان والتوتر في المنطقة”.
وشدد سعادته على أن هذه الاجتماعات واللقاءات حققت نتائج إيجابية سيتم البناء عليها في الملفات والقضايا التي تتعلق بتحسين ظروف الحياة لسكان قطاع غزة، بالتنسيق الكامل مع الأمم المتحدة والسلطة الفلسطينية وبتوافق مع جميع الأطراف، مؤكدا أن هذه النتائج سيكون لها الأثر الإيجابي الواضح على تحسين الواقع المعيشي في القطاع.
وأشار إلى أنه تم الانتهاء من الإجراءات المتعلقة بصرف المنحة القطرية للأسر المتعففة بالاتفاق مع السلطة الفلسطينية والأمم المتحدة، مبينا أنه سيتم البدء بعملية الصرف بحسب الآلية المتفق عليها مع الأمم المتحدة خلال الشهر الجاري، بعد استكمال الأمم المتحدة لكافة الإجراءات الفنية المتعلقة بعملية الصرف.
كما أوضح أنه سيتم صرف منحة موظفي غزة بالتنسيق مع السلطة الفلسطينية خلال الأيام القادمة، وبالتوافق مع مختلف الأطراف.
وحث السفير العمادي الأطراف على تحمل مسؤولياتهم للمحافظة على الهدوء والاستقرار، بهدف تحسين أوضاع السكان الذين يعيشون ظروفا إنسانية غاية في الصعوبة، وكي تتمكن كذلك المنظمات والمؤسسات الدولية من استئناف تنفيذ المشاريع المختلفة بما فيها إعادة الإعمار ودعم القطاعات المختلفة بغزة وأهمها قطاع الصحة.
