Minister of Public Health Opens South Al Wakra Health Center

Doha: HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, inaugurated yesterday PHCC’s South Al Wakra Health Center.
Her Excellency stressed that the plan to open a number of new health centers in the country seeks to meet the increasing needs of the public for primary health care services, taking into account the geographical distribution and population density of each area in which a health center is launched.
Her Excellency added that the Ministry of Public Health is working to ensure that all patients receive health care at the right time and place, while improving patients’ experience and enhancing their safety. There is also a continuous development of the quality of services provided to keep pace with patients’ needs, while applying the best and highest standards of quality.
For her part, the Managing Director of PHCC Dr. Mariam Abdulmalik, mentioned that the new HC has been provided with all the necessary requirements to deliver an outstanding health and medical services level for optimal use.
Dr. Abdulmalik explained that the distribution of services in HCs has been done in accordance with the plans developed, Corporate Strategy, future vision, and the needs of patients, noting that South Al Wakra HC has been implemented in accordance with the highest standards approved for health facilities and with international standards, to achieve the required sustainability standards and ensure the comprehensiveness and integration of services.
With the launch of South Al Wakra HC, the number of PHCC HCs increased to 28, distributed across all regions of the country, where a number of patients in the zone will be transferred to the new HC, which will have a positive impact on booking appointments, especially for specialized clinics. In the first year, the HC’s capacity will be 5,000 patients, then it will gradually increase to 10,000 patients.
The new HC will receive patients during the official working hours between 7am to 11pm, Sunday to Thursday.
Spread over an area of about 3,000sq m, South Al Wakra HC includes a single-storey main building with a main clinical building (health center) covering nine clinics.
The buildings design also reflects the heritage and culture of Qatar without compromising international standards of safety for fire protection, besides green buildings and a 3-star rated sustainability. Another important design feature of the architectural design of the HC is inclusion of next generation technologies in the field of medical equipment.
Most notably, the design of the new health centers came in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety and with the standards of the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), where architectural and operational considerations were taken to accomplish a 3-star environmental level in terms of energy saving and environment preservation.

الدوحة: أكدت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزير الصحة العامة، أن خطة افتتاح عدد من المراكز الصحية الجديدة في الدولة هدفها تلبية الاحتياجات المتزايدة للجمهور من خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأولية مع مراعاة التوزيع الجغرافي والكثافة السكانية لكل منطقة يتم افتتاح مركز صحي بها.
وأضافت سعادتها لدى افتتاحها، اليوم، مركز جنوب الوكرة الصحي التابع لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، أن وزارة الصحة العامة تعمل من أجل ضمان حصول كافة المرضى على الرعاية الصحية في الوقت والمكان المناسبين مع تحسين تجربة المراجعين وتعزيز سلامتهم، مع التطوير المستمر لنوعية الخدمات المقدمة لمواكبة احتياجات المرضى بأفضل وأعلى معايير الجودة.
ونوهت إلى أن الاستراتيجية الوطنية للرعاية الصحية الأولية تلتزم بتمكين المريض من الحصول على خدمات رعاية صحية أولية ذات جودة عالية بشكل أسرع، مما يحوز على مستوى رضا المرضى والمراجعين.
من جانبها أشارت الدكتورة مريم عبدالملك، مدير عام مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، إلى أنه تم تزويد المركز الجديد بجميع المتطلبات اللازمة لتقديم مستوى متميز من الخدمات الصحية والطبية على الوجه الأمثل.
وأوضحت أن توزيع الخدمات في المراكز الصحية يتم وفق الخطط الموضوعة وبما يتماشى مع الاستراتيجية المؤسسية والرؤية المستقبلية واحتياجات المرضى والمراجعين، منوهة إلى أن مركز جنوب الوكرة الصحي تم تنفيذه طبقا لأعلى المعايير المعتمدة للمنشآت الصحية ووفقا للمعايير الدولية، ليحقق معايير الاستدامة المطلوبة ويضمن شمولية وتكامل الخدمات.
وبافتتاح مركز جنوب الوكرة الصحي وصل عدد المراكز الصحية التابعة لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية إلى 28 مركزا صحيا، موزعة في جميع مناطق الدولة، علما أنه سيتم توزيع العديد من المراجعين بالمنطقة على المركز الجديد، الأمر الذي سينعكس إيجابا على حجز المواعيد، خاصة على العيادات التخصصية.
وتبلغ الطاقة الاستيعابية للمركز 5000 فرد في السنة الأولى لتزداد تدريجيا إلى 10,000 فرد.
ويستقبل المركز الجديد المرضى خلال أوقات العمل الرسمية المعتمدة من السابعة صباحا وحتى الحادية عشرة مساء من الأحد إلى الخميس.
ويقع مركز جنوب الوكرة الصحي على مساحة تبلغ نحو 3000 متر مربع، ويتضمن 9 عيادات، والعديد من المرافق والخدمات المساندة الأخرى.
وتم الأخذ في الحسبان عند تصميم المركز الصحي أن يتسم بالطابع التراثي القطري، وبما يتطابق مع أعلى معايير الأمان العالمية في مجال الحريق، فضلا عن المباني الخضراء والاستدامة، ومراعاة تصميمه الهندسي لاستيعاب التقنيات المستقبلية الحديثة في مجال التجهيزات الطبية، ومتطلبات فئة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
جدير بالذكر أن تصميم المراكز الصحية الجديدة جاء طبقا لأعلى معايير الجودة والأمان وبما يتوافق مع معايير المنظومة العالمية لتقييم الاستدامة (GSAS)، حيث تم الأخذ في الاعتبارات التصميمية والتشغيلية، ما يلزم لتحقيق جودة بيئية بمعدل 3 نجوم من حيث توفير الطاقة والحفاظ على البيئة.
