Second repatriation flight from Qatar takes over 280 Filipinos back home
رحلة إعادة التوطين الثانية من قطر تُعيد أكثر من 280 فلبينياّ إلى الوطن
Doha: The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA) and the Philippine Embassy in Doha (Doha PE), repatriated the latest group of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Doha, Qatar.
This marks as the second repatriation flight from Qatar for the month of August. The flight brought home a total of 287 overseas Filipinos, including four pregnant women.
This announcement about the latest batch of repatriates from the Middle East that landed home today was posted by the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs on their official Facebook page.
Over 500 overseas Filipino workers from Qatar were repatriated this month.
In the same announcement, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, stated: “Today’s arrival is part of the DFA’s sustained efforts in fulfilling its primary duty of providing prompt and commensurate assistance to our distressed nationals abroad.”
“We understand that the current pandemic has altered the circumstances of our overseas Filipinos. Through these DFA-sponsored flights, we guarantee our commitment to protect their welfare and well-being,” added the Undersecretary.
Upon landing, the repatriates underwent the appropriate medical protocols as required by the Department of Health-Bureau of Quarantine. They would also be required to undergo quarantine in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Inter-Agency Task Force.
الدوحة: أعادت وزارة الخارجية، من خلال مكتب وكيل الوزارة لشؤون العمال المهاجرين وسفارة الفلبين في الدوحة، أحدث مجموعة من العمال الفلبينيين في الخارج من الدوحة في دولة قطر.
وتعد هذه ثاني رحلة عودة من قطر لشهر أغسطس. وأعادت الرحلة ما مجموعه 287 فلبينياّ مغترباً من بينهم أربع نساء حوامل.
ونشر مكتب وكيل وزارة شؤون العمال المهاجرين هذا الإعلان عن الرحلة الأخيرة من العائدين من الشرق الأوسط التي وصلت إلى بلادهم اليوم على صفحتهم الرسمية على الفيسبوك
وتمت إعادة أكثر من 500 عامل فلبيني مغترب من قطر هذا الشهر.
وفي نفس الإعلان، صرحت وكيلة وزارة الخارجية لشؤون العمال المهاجرين، سارة لو أريولا: “إن وصول اليوم هو جزء من جهود وزارة الخارجية المستمرة للوفاء بواجبها الأساسي المتمثل في تقديم المساعدة الفورية والمتناسبة لمواطنينا المنكوبين في الخارج”.
وأضافت: “نحن نتفهم أن الوباء الحالي قد غير ظروف الفلبينيين في الخارج. ومن خلال هذه الرحلات التي ترعاها وزارة الخارجية، نضمن التزامنا بحماية أمورهم ورفاهيتهم “.
وسيخضع العائدون، عند الهبوط، إلى البروتوكولات الطبية المناسبة كما هو مطلوب من قبل وزارة الصحة – مكتب الحجر الصحي. كما سيُطلب منهم الخضوع للحجر الصحي وفقاً للمبادئ التوجيهية الشاملة التي وضعتها فرقة العمل المشتركة بين الوكالات.
