What categories has the National Covid-19 Vaccination Program focused on?

Doha: Dr. Khalid Abdul-Nour, senior consultant in emergency medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation and commander of the Covid-19 vaccination appointments unit, said the Ministry of Public Health recently announced a four-stage plan to gradually lift the Covid-19 restrictions, noting that in order to support the safe implementation of the plan, it was important to protect the front-line working group and vaccinate them against Covid-19.

Groups directly in contact with members of the community

“Through this unit, we have supported the process of receiving vaccination for the working class in all business sectors, especially those that directly contact members of the community, such as barbers, hairdressers, restaurants, shops, catering shops, hotels and hospitality services,” said Dr. Khalid

“The Covid-19 vaccination and services appointments unit teams are working directly with business sectors to organize vaccination appointments and ensure that staff receive vaccines as soon as possible, as vaccinations are easily performed, with tens of thousands of key working groups vaccinated so far,” he said.

The Ministry of Public Health announced that more than 120,000 people in the essential working group had received Covid-19 vaccination as a step ahead of the start of the first phase of the plan to lift the epidemic restrictions.

الفئات المخالطة لأفراد المجتمع بشكل مباشر

في هذا السياق، قال الدكتور خالد”لقد قدمنا الدعم من خلال هذه الوحدة لعملية تلقي الفئة العاملة في كافة قطاعات الأعمال للتطعيم، وخاصة الفئات التي تخالط أفراد المجتمع بشكل مباشر كالحلاقين ومصففي الشعر والمطاعم والمتاجر ومحال التموين والفنادق وخدمات الضيافة”.

مبينًا أن “فرق وحدة تنظيم المواعيد الخاصة بتطعيم “كوفيد-19″ والخدمات، تعمل بصورة مباشرة مع قطاعات الأعمال وذلك لتنظيم عملية الحصول على مواعيد للتطعيم وضمان تلقي الموظفين للقاحات بأسرع وقت ممكن، حيث تجري خدمة التطعيمات بسهولة، إذ حصل عشرات الآلاف من الفئة العاملة الأساسية على التطعيم حتى الآن”.

وكانت وزارة الصحة العامة أعلنت عن تلقي ما يزيد عن 120 ألف شخص، من الفئة العاملة الأساسية، للتطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19” كخطوة تسبق البدء في المرحلة الأولى من خطة رفع القيود الخاصة بالوباء.
