Nasser Al Khelaifi Re-Elected to UEFA Executive Committee until 2024

Geneva: Nasser Al Khelaifi, Chairman and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain, has been re-elected to the UEFA Executive Committee as European Club Association (ECA) representative for an additional three-year term of office.
FC Bayern Munchen CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was also elected to the UEFA Executive Committee as representative of the European Club Association.
Speaking at the 45th Ordinary UEFA Congress in Montreux in Switzerland, Nasser Al Khelaifi stated: “I am honored by the trust placed in me by my colleagues of the ECA to represent them on the UEFA Executive Committee. European football is at a pivotal moment, in which all stakeholders should work together; in good faith, with dignity, and to protect the game we all love.”
Commenting on the clubs position regarding the latest developments in European club competitions Nasser Al Khelaifi added: “Paris Saint-Germain holds the firm belief that football is a game for everyone. I have been consistent on this since the very beginning. As a football club, we are a family and a community; whose fabric is our fans – I believe we shouldnt forget this.”
“There is a clear need to advance the existing UEFA competition model, presented by UEFA yesterday and concluding 24 months of extensive and collaborative consultation across the whole European football landscape. We believe that any proposal without the support of UEFA – an organisation that has been working to progress the interests of European football for nearly 70 years – does not resolve the issues currently facing the football community, but is instead driven by self-interest,” Al Khelaifi added.
“Paris Saint-Germain will continue to work with UEFA, the European Club Association and all stakeholders of the football family – based on the principles of good faith, dignity and respect for all,” he stressed.

جنيف: أعيد انتخاب السيد ناصر الخليفي رئيس نادي /باريس سان جيرمان/ الفرنسي يوم الأمس، عضوا في المكتب التنفيذي للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم لولاية جديدة /3 /سنوات حتى عام 2024 .
كما تم ايضا انتخاب السيد كارل هاينس رومينيغه الرئيس التنفيذي لنادي بايرن ميونيخ الالماني ممثلا لجمعية الأندية الأوروبية في المكتب التنفيذي.
وعلى إثر انتخابه، قال السيد ناصر الخليفي في أعقاب المؤتمر الـ /45 /للاتحاد الاوروبي لكرة القدم في مدينة مونترو السويسرية في تصريح له ” أتشرف بالثقة التي حظيت بها من طرف نظرائي الرؤساء الأعضاء في جمعية الأندية الأوروبية ECA، لكي أُمثلهم في المجلس التنفيذي للاتحاد الأوروبي..مؤكدا ان عالم الكرة الاوروبي يمرُّ بمرحلة هامة وحاسمة في تاريخه”.
واضاف “وهو ما يتطلّب من جميع الأطراف العمل جنباً إلى جنب والعمل بتلاحم، وبإخلاص لحماية لعبة كرة القدم التي نحبها جميعاً “.
وتعليقاً على موقف النادي تجاه مستجدات منافسات الأندية الأوروبية، ذكر :”لدى /باريس سان جيرمان/ إيمان عميق بأن كرة القدم هي لعبة للجميع، وهذا موقفي الذي لم يتغير منذ البداية. وعلينا ألا ننسى أننا، كنادي كرة قدم، عبارة عن أسرة ومجتمع أساسه جمهورنا”..مضيفا”هناك حاجة واضحة لتطوير النموذج الحالي لبطولات الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، وهو ما قدمه الاتحاد أمس بعد 24 شهرًا من المشاورات المكثفة والمشتركة بين كافة أطراف المشهد الكروي الأوروبي. ونعتقد أن أي اقتراح غير مدعوم من الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، وهي منظمة تعمل على تطوير مصالح كرة القدم الأوروبية منذ حوالي 70 عامًا، لا يحل المشكلات التي تواجه مجتمع كرة القدم حاليًا، بل تقوده المصالح الذاتية”.
واختتم الخليفي تصريحه بالقول :”سيواصل /باريس سان جيرمان /العمل مع الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم وجمعية الأندية الأوروبية (ECA) ، وجميع شركاء عالم الكرة الأوروبية، وفق مبادئ حسن النية والشرف والاخلاص والاحترام المتبادل للجميع”.
