MOI: No exceptions in the implementation of cabinet decisions

Doha: Lt. Col. Masood Jaman al-Qahtani, head of “Ehteraz” Unit at the National Command Center in the Ministry of Interior, confirmed the ministry’s readiness to follow up on the implementation of the cabinet’s decisions to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, starting on Friday, pointing out that security patrols of various types will be intensified, and there is joint coordination in this regard with the ministries of Commerce and industry, administrative development, work, and social affairs, municipality and environment, to control violators and take legal action.

Lt. Col. Massoud Al-Qahtani said in remarks to the social distance program last night: The violation of not wearing a mask is the most common violation during the past period.

In the event of an arrest, the offender shall be drawn a report at the same location, and then the report is forwarded to the security department, which in turn refers the report to the competent prosecutor.

He explained that the role of the police officers is limited to regulating the incident and writing a report, and then the report is forwarded to the competent prosecutor’s office, which in turn adapts the incident and the report is then referred to the court to issue the appropriate punishment.

He pointed out that the mechanisms for monitoring compliance with the number allowed in the gatherings will be through the patrols, whether security or civilian, and if the violator of these decisions is caught, legal action will be taken against him at the same time, pointing out that there are no exceptions in relation to these decisions.

وقال المقدم مسعود القحطاني في تصريحات لبرنامج المسافة الاجتماعية الليلة الماضية :إن مخالفة عدم ارتداء الكمامة هي أكثر المخالفات شيوعًا خلال الفترة الماضية.

وحال ضبط الشخص المخالف يتم تحرير محضر ضبط له في نفس الموقع ثم يُحال المحضر إلى الإدارة الأمنية وهي بدورها تحيل المحضر إلى النيابة المختصة.

وأوضح أن دور رجال الشرطة يقتصر على ضبط الواقعة وتحرير محضر بها ومن ثم يحال المحضر إلى النيابة المختصة وهي بدورها تكيف الواقعة ومن ثم تتم إحالة البلاغ إلى المحكمة لتحرير العقوبة المناسبة.

وبيّن أن آليات رصد الالتزام بالعدد المسموح به في التجمعات ستكون عبر الدوريات المتجولة سواء الأمنية أو المدنية وحال ضبط المخالف لهذه القرارات يتم اتخاذ إجراءات قانونية حياله في نفس الوقت، مشيرًا إلى أنه لا استثناءات فيما يتعلق بهذه القرارات.
