WHO is Scrutinizing Astrazeneca Vaccine After Suspending Its Distribution in Some Countries

Geneva: Mrs. Margaret Harris, a spokesperson for the World Health Organization, said today that the WHO expert advisory committee is currently studying the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19 after some countries have stopped its distribution operations, pointing out that “there is no reason not to Use it to control virus outbreaks”.

In remarks, Harris described AstraZeneca as “excellent,” saying that “there is no causal link between it and the reports that some of those who have been vaccinated have been exposed to blood clots”.

She also revealed that a committee of experts from the WHO Advisory Committee is currently scrutinizing the composition of the vaccine “until any confusion associated with deaths in some countries of the world is lifted,” stressing that the results of this study will not be delayed in appearing much longer.

Bulgaria has today temporarily suspended vaccination using the AstraZeneca vaccine until the European Medicines Regulatory Authority issues its statement on everything raised about the vaccine, and to dispels all doubts about its safety.

Bulgaria has joined Denmark, Norway, and Iceland, which have temporarily suspended vaccination sought by some of those who have received blood clots, while Germany is facing vaccine shortages, with the start of a third wave of the pandemic, with the government making sure that doubts about these vaccines do not undermine its vaccination campaign to control the Coronavirus.

كما كشفت أن لجنة من خبراء اللجنة الاستشارية لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تقوم حاليا بمزيد التدقيق في تركيبة هذا اللقاح “حتى يتم رفع كل لبس ارتبط بينه وبين حالات وفاة في بعض دول العالم”، مشددة على أن نتائج هذه الدراسة لن تتأخر في الظهور كثيرا.

وأوقفت بلغاريا مؤقتا، اليوم، التطعيم باستخدام لقاح /أسترازينيكا/ إلى حين اصدار الهيئة الأوروبية المنظمة للأدوية لبيانها بخصوص كل ما أثير حول هذا اللقاح، ولتبديد كافة الشكوك بشأن أمانه.

وانضمت بلغاريا إلى الدنمارك والنرويج وأيسلندا التي أوقفت مؤقتا التطعيم بهذا اللقاح في ظل تقارير أشارت إلى تكون جلطات في الدم لدى بعض من تلقوه، بينما تواجه ألمانيا شحا في اللقاحات، مع بدء موجة ثالثة من الجائحة، حيث تحرص الحكومة على التأكد من أن الشكوك بشأن هذه اللقاحات لا تقوض حملة التطعيم التي تنفذها من أجل السيطرة على كورونا.
