الهلال الأحمر القطري يدعم القطاع الصحي في غزة بمليون دولار
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) announced the implementation and financing of an integrated programme worth $1mn, as part of its strategy for health sector development in the Gaza Strip.
The society stated that the project, which will be implemented over the course of two years, contributes to improving the quality of health services provided in the Strip.
QRCS added that the programme includes several aspects, notably the hiring of consultants in cardiology, urinary tract treatment, as well as two major programmes to develop the capacity of local cadres, namely a Master of Mental Health at the University of Jerusalem, Anaesthesia diploma and intensive care at the Islamic University as well.
In a related context, physicians from the urology section are hosted in Qatar, within the specialised Emiri scholarship for Palestinian physicians, aiming at treating and providing service to the sick, as well as training Palestinian cadres who have been denied exit and travel for training outside Gaza due to the siege and the closure of the crossings.
QRCS has been implementing a series of qualitative programmes in Gaza’s healthcare sector since 2008, with the aim of improving health conditions and save the lives of patients and reduce the treatment bill outside the Strip, noting that the total value of QRCS humanitarian projects in Gaza has so far exceeded $110mn.
أعلن الهلال الأحمر القطري عن تنفيذ وتمويل برنامج متكامل، بقيمة مليون دولار أمريكي، ضمن استراتيجيته لتطوير القطاع الصحي في قطاع غزة.
وقال الهلال الأحمر في بيان له اليوم إن القيمة الإجمالية لهذا المشروع تبلغ مليون دولار أمريكي، وسيتم تنفيذه على مدار عامين، ما يساهم في تحسين جودة الخدمات الصحية المقدمة بالقطاع .
وأضاف أن البرنامج يشمل عددا من التدخلات الصحية، أبرزها التعاقد مع استشاريين في تخصصات جراحة القلب وطب الأطفال حديثي الولادة والمسالك البولية، وكذلك إطلاق برنامجين رئيسيين لتطوير قدرات الكوادر المحلية، هما ماجستير الصحة النفسية بجامعة القدس فرع أبو ديس، ودبلوم التخدير والعناية المركزة بالجامعة الإسلامية هناك .
وفي سياق متصل، يتم استضافة أطباء من قسم جراحة المسالك البولية للدراسة في دولة قطر، ضمن المنحة الأميرية التخصصية للأطباء الفلسطينيين، وذلك بهدف علاج المرضى وتقديم الخدمة لهم، بالإضافة إلى تدريب الكوادر الفلسطينية التي حرمت من الخروج والسفر للتدريب خارج غزة بسبب ظروف الحصار وإغلاق المعابر.
يذكر أن الهلال الأحمر القطري ينفذ سلسلة من التدخلات النوعية في قطاع الرعاية الصحية بغزة منذ عام 2008، بهدف النهوض بالأوضاع الصحية وإنقاذ أرواح المرضى وتقليل فاتورة العلاج خارج القطاع، علما بأن القيمة الإجمالية لمشاريعه الإنسانية في غزة تجاوزت حتى الآن 110 ملايين دولار أمريكي .
