HMC: All Outpatient Consultations Via Telephone Starting Wednesday

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has decided to stop physical attendance at outpatient clinics in all HMC hospitals from Wednesday, Feb. 10, due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the State of Qatar.

HMC will instead be using telephone consultations between the physician and patient, it said, urging patients not to come into hospital for appointments.

“Patients are asked not to come into hospital for appointment. The physician will telephone the patient on the day of the appointment,” it stated.

According to HMC, the doctor will arrange a face-to-face appointment if needed and patient will be informed by the clinic.

HMC underlined that this measure is taken for the protection and safety of patients.

الدوحة:  قررت مؤسسة حمد الطبية وقف العمل بنظام حضور المرضى للعيادات الخارجية بجميع مستشفيات المؤسسة اعتبارا من يوم /الأربعاء/، الموافق 10 فبراير الجاري، وذلك نظرا لما شهدته دولة قطر مؤخرا من تزايد في عدد حالات الإصابة بفيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/.

وأوضحت المؤسسة أنه بدلا من ذلك فإنها ستطبق نظام الاستشارات عبر الاتصال الهاتفي بين الطبيب والمريض، داعية في هذا السياق المرضى لعدم القدوم للمستشفى لحضور مواعيدهم، حيث سيقوم الطبيب بدلا من ذلك بالاتصال بالمريض هاتفيا في يوم موعده.

ونوهت إلى أنه في حال تطلبت حالة المريض الحضور شخصيا إلى العيادة، فسيقوم الطبيب بإجراء الترتيبات اللازمة لذلك، في حين سيقوم موظفو العيادة بإبلاغ المريض بضرورة حضوره.

وأكدت مؤسسة حمد الطبية أنه قد تم اتخاذ هذا الإجراء حرصا على حماية صحة المرضى وسلامتهم.
