Does Coronavirus vaccine substitute mask? Dr Maslamani answers

Doha: In light of the precautionary measures to prevent the emerging coronavirus “Covid-19”, the official account of the Ministry of Public Health published a video clip of Dr. Mona Al-Maslamani, Medical Director of the Communicable Diseases Center at HMC.

In the video, the doctor explained the importance of commitment and the need to wear a mask and maintain social distance for people who received the Covid-19 vaccine.

“As the experts learn more about the protection that Covid-19 vaccines provide, under real-life conditions, it will be important for everyone to continue to use the tools at our disposal”, the doctor said.

The doctor indicated that helping to stop this epidemic requires a commitment to wearing mask over the nose and mouth, washing hands frequently, and maintaining social distancing, at least 6 feet from people who do not live with you.

Dr. Al-Maslamani confirmed that the Coronavirus vaccine, and following the recommendations of the Ministry of Public Health on how to protect yourself and others will provide the best protection.

أوضحت فيه الدكتورة أهمية الالتزام وضرورة ارتداء الكمامة والمحافظة على المسافة الاجتماعية للأشخاص الذين تلقّوا لقاح كوفيد -19.

وقالت الدكتورة، بينما يتعلّم الخبراء المزيد حول الحماية التي توفرها لقاحات كوفيد -19، في ظلّ ظروف الحياة الحقيقية، سيكون من المهم للجميع الاستمرار في استخدام الأدوات المتاحة لنا.

وأشارت الدكتورة إلى أنّ المساعدة في وقف هذا الوباء تتطلب الالتزام بارتداء القناع على الأنف والفم، وغسل اليدين باستمرار، والمحافظة على التباعد الاجتماعي، بمسافة 6 أقدام-على الأقل- من الأشخاص الذين لا يعيشون معكم.

وأكدت المسلماني، أنّ لقاح كورونا، واتّباع توصيات وزارة الصحة العامة بشأن كيفية حماية نفسك والآخرين سيوفران أفضل حماية.
