Will corona vaccination be imposed as a prerequisite for travel? Dr al-Muslimani answers

Doha: Dr. Yousef Al-Muslimani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital, stressed that vaccination against Corona to date is optional, noting that flu vaccinations for decades and to this day have remained optional.

“I expect that some countries around the world and airlines will impose the requirement to obtain the vaccine to travel abroad or to receive passengers,” he said in an interview with Qatar’s Social Distance program on Monday. Noting that Australia Airlines had announced so.

Dr. Yusuf al-Muslimani revealed that several thousand people have been vaccinated against Corona so far. “The complications rate is zero,” he said, and all people are in excellent conditions and we hope that vaccination will spread more.

He explained that the vaccination committee has set priorities for the access of citizens and residents to the vaccination against Corona. He explained that the first list of these priorities for those over 65 years of age and the second list of those who have chronic diseases without specifying age and the third list consists of health workers, including people who work on the front lines and then the rest of the public.

For those with chronic diseases, Dr. Yusuf al-Muslimani explained that the Ministry of Health has an electronic record in their names and does not need to print a certificate for vaccination.

As for the certificate of vaccination for the employer, he explained that the certificate is ready to be issued by registering on the page “My Health” and then entering the “documents” and obtaining the certificate of chronic diseases.

الدوحة: أكد الدكتور يوسف المسلماني المدير الطبي لمستشفى حمد العام أن التطعيم ضد كورونا حتى اليوم اختياري، مشيراً إلى أن تطعيمات الإنفلونزا منذ عشرات السنين وحتى اليوم ظلت اختيارية .

وحول فرض الحصول على لقاح كورونا كشرط أساسي للسفر إلى الخارج، قال المسلماني – في مقابلة مع برنامج “المسافة الاجتماعية” على تليفزيون قطر اليوم الاثنين – “أتوقع أن تفرض بعض دول العالم وشركات الطيران شرط الحصول على اللقاح للسفر إلى الخارج أو لاستقبال المسافرين”، مشيراً إلى أن الخطوط الاسترالية أعلنت عن ذلك .

وكشف الدكتور يوسف المسلماني عن أن عدة آلاف من الناس حصلوا على التطعيم ضد كورونا حتى الآن .. وقال إن “نسبة المضاعفات صفر”، وكل الناس حالاتهم ممتازة ونطمح أن ينتشر التطعيم أكثر .

وأوضح أن لجنة التطعيمات وضعت أولويات حصول المواطنين والمقيمين على التطعيم ضد كورونا .. موضحا أن القائمة الأولى من هذه الأولويات لمن هم فوق 65 عاما والقائمة الثانية من الذين لديهم أمراض مزمنة بدون تحديد العمر والقائمة الثالثة للعاملين في المجال الصحي ومنهم الناس الذين يعملون في الخطوط الأمامية وبعدها باقي الجمهور.

الأمراض المزمنة

وبالنسبة لمن لديهم أمراض المزمنة، أوضح الدكتور يوسف المسلماني أن وزارة الصحة لديها سجل إلكتروني بأسمائهم،  ولا تحتاج لطباعة شهادة بذلك للتطعيم.

وبالنسبة لشهادة التطعيم لجهة العمل، أوضح أن الشهادة جاهزة للإصدار من خلال التسجيل في صفحة “صحتي” وبعد ذلك الدخول على “وثائق” ويحصل على شهادة الأمراض المزمنة .
