Qatar’s Minister of Finance in Cairo to open the St. Regis Hotel

Doha: His Excellency Mr. Ali Sharif Al-Emadi, Minister of Finance, arrived in Cairo today, Tuesday, heading a delegation by a private plane from Doha on a visit to Egypt that would last for several hours, according to German News Agency.

The agency indicated that the Minister of Finance is the first official, and a Qatari plane to cross Saudi and Egyptian airspace directly from the Qatari capital since the June 2017 crisis.

The agency quoted informed sources that the Minister of Finance will participate, during his visit to Egypt, in the opening of the “St. Regis” Hotel on the Cairo Nile Corniche, owned by Qatari AlDiyar, and then return this evening or early tomorrow morning, Wednesday, to Doha.

The Qatari Diyar Company, which owns the St. Regis Hotel – which is located on the Nile Corniche in Cairo, in a privileged location between the Egyptian Museum and the Arab League building – has obtained an operating license and is preparing for the opening of the hotel. It also was able to obtain licenses and civil protection requirements, which delayed the opening of the hotel for more than 6 years.

According to the agency, the project’s investments amount to more than $ 1.3 billion. The project includes two towers, with a total of 515 units, with a total area of ​​9,360 square meters.

الدوحة: وصل سعادة السيد علي شريف العمادي وزير المالية إلى القاهرة، اليوم الثلاثاء، قادما على رأس وفد بطائرة خاصة من الدوحة في زيارة لمصر تستغرق عدة ساعات، وفق ما ذكرته وكالة الأنباء الألمانية .

وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن سعادة وزير المالية يعد أول مسؤول، وطائرة قطرية تعبر الأجواء السعودية والمصرية بشكل مباشر من العاصمة القطرية منذ أزمة يونيو عام 2017.

ونقلت الوكالة عن مصادر مطلعة بأن وزير المالية سيشارك خلال زيارته لمصر في افتتاح فندق “سانت ريجيس” على كورنيش نيل القاهرة والمملوك لشركة الديار القطرية ثم العودة مساء اليوم أو في ساعة مبكرة من صباح غد الأربعاء إلى الدوحة.

وحصلت شركة الديار القطرية المالكة لفندق “سانت ريجيس” – والذي يقع على كورنيش نيل القاهرة، في مكان مميز بين المتحف المصري ومبنى جامعة الدول العربية – على رخصة التشغيل وتتجهز لافتتاح الفندق، وتمكنت من استخراج التراخيص واشتراطات الحماية المدنية والتي عطلت افتتاح الفندق أكثر من 6 سنوات.

وحسب الوكالة، تبلغ استثمارات المشروع أكثر من 3ر1 مليار دولار ويضم المشروع برجين بإجمالي 515 وحدة بإجمالي مساحة 9360 متراً مربعاً.
