Katara awards winners of Ramadan photography contest
“كتارا” تتوج الفائزين في مسابقة أجمل صورة لفعالية غبقة في السيارة
Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation yesterday awarded the winners of its photography competition based on Ghabqa, the drive-through night market held during the holy month of Ramadan.
The contestants were required to capture the best images from the market.
Yousuf Loulidi, a Moroccan based in Qatar, won the first prize of QR10,000, while the second prize worth QR7,000 was bagged by Yahya al-Sorory, a Yemeni national. The third prize of QR5,000 went to Syed Mohamed Firoz, an Indian.
Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara, gave away the prizes at a ceremony held in the Cultural Village yesterday. It was attended by several senior Katara officials.
“The competition is part of Katara’s continuous support to artists and photographers. This is not the first time that Katara is holding such a competition and we are happy about the tremendous response from the public,” he said.
Dr al-Sulaiti also honoured members of the judging panel, comprising Arif al-Imari, Abdul Aziz al-Kubaisi and Muneera al-Obaidli.
He presented certificates of appreciation to the panel members.
More than 50 companies had participated in Ghabqa, the “biggest crowd-puller at Katara during Ramadan”.
It attracted huge crowds and featured diverse delicacies offered by a number of leading outlets, Katara said in a press statement.
Katara held a similar photography competition in April, focusing on Qahwa, the traditional Arabic coffee.
The contest was held in connection with the ‘Caffeinated’ exhibition on coffee.
توجت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي “كتارا”، اليوم الفائزين في مسابقة أجمل صورة لفعالية غبقة في السيارة، وهي إحدى فعاليات شهر رمضان المبارك 2018،التي شهدت إقبالا كبيرا من الزوار، حيث شارك فيها أكثر من 50 محلا بين مطاعم ومقاه قدمت أشهى الأطباق وأكثرها تميزا فكانت تقليدا تراثيا بنكهة عصرية وفرصة لهواة التصوير لالتقاط أجمل الصور.
وقد حرصت “كتارا” على إطلاق هذه المسابقة تشجيعا لأصحاب المواهب ومحبي التصوير الفوتوغرافي، وكان من أهم شروط المسابقة أن تعبر الصورة عن الرؤية الفنية لموضوع المسابقة وتلتقط من موقع الغبقة.
وقد فاز بالمركز الأول في المسابقة يوسف الوليدي وحصل على جائزة قدرها 10 آلاف ريال قطري، في حين فاز يحيى عديل السروري بالمركز الثاني وحصل على جائزة قدرها 7 آلاف ريال قطري، وفاز سعيد محمد فيروز بالمركز الثالث وجائزة قدرها 5 آلاف ريال قطري.
وفي هذا السياق قال الدكتور خالد السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة: تسلمت لجنة تحكيم مسابقة أجمل صورة لغبقة في السيارة، مايزيد على 50 صورة، تنوعت في مضامينها وأساليبها الفنية، مبينا أن مثل هذه المسابقات تزيد من الروح التنافسية بين الهواة ومحبي التصوير، وتحفزهم لإطلاق إبداعاتهم وقدراتهم الفنية.. مؤكدا أن “كتارا” تسعى دوما لإبراز إبداعات الشباب واحتضانهم من خلال فعالياتها المختلفة.
ومن جانبهم أثنى الفائزون على جهود كتارا الدائمة لدعم وتشجيع المواهب في مختلف المجالات الفنية، معبرين عن سرورهم بهذه الجائزة التي حفزتهم على المشاركة في مسابقات مماثلة في المرات القادمة.
