Qatar’s Population Crosses 3 Million in September 2023

Doha: Qatar’s population increased by 2.96% on a monthly basis at the end of last September, surpassing the 3 million mark for the third time. According to data released by the Planning and Statistics Authority yesterday, the population of Qatar reached 3.057 million at the end of last month, compared to 2.969 million in August. It’s worth noting that Qatar’s population has exceeded 3 million only three times, according to “Planning” data, with the latest occurrence being last month. The population first crossed this milestone in March, reaching 3.005 million, and then in May with 3.002 million. On an annual basis, Qatar’s population grew by 2.41% compared to its level in September 2022, which was 2.985 million. These figures represent all individuals, Qatari and non-Qatari, within the borders of Qatar on September 30, 2023, excluding Qatari nationals residing abroad at the time of data collection.

الدوحة: ارتفع عدد سكان دولة قطر بنهاية شهر سبتمبر الماضي بنسبة 2.96% على أساس شهري، متجاوزاً مستوى 3 ملايين نسمة للمرة الثالثة. وحسب بيانات جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء الصادرة أمس، بلغ عدد سكان قطر في نهاية الشهر الماضي 3.057 مليون نسمة، مقابل 2.969 مليون نسمة في أغسطس الماضي. يُذكر أن عدد سكان قطر لم يتجاوز الـ3 ملايين نسمة سوى 3 مرات فقط بحسب بيانات “التخطيط”، آخرها في الشهر الماضي. وتجاوز ذلك الرقم أول مرة في مارس السابق إذ بلغ 3.005 مليون نسمة، ووصل في مايو الماضي 3.002 مليون نسمة. على أساس سنوي، نما عدد سكان قطر قياساً بمستواه في سبتمبر 2022 البالغ 2.985 مليون نسمة بنحو 2.41%. تمثل هذه الأرقام عدد الأفراد من الأعمار كافة، قطريين وغير قطريين، داخل حدود قطر في 30 سبتمبر 2023، مستثنية القطريين المقيمين في الخارج في لحظة جمع البيانات.
