Sectors exempted from specified working hours during the holy month of Ramadan

Select sectors including contracting and construction have been exempted from the decision on specified working hours, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) announced yesterday through Circular No 21 of 2020. 

This is in the context of the preventive and precautionary measures adopted by Qatar to contain the Covid-19 outbreak and to ensure public safety, according to a statement from the MoCI.

Exempted businesses include contracting and construction companies; building materials and equipment companies; technical, mechanical and carpentry workshops; offices and engineering laboratories; and stores and warehouses, the MoCI has said in a statement.

For this, the following conditions have to be met:

* To measure the body temperature of all employees twice a day and to isolate any worker with a high body temperature.

* To prepare a list of elderly workers and employees with chronic illness conditions.

* To comply with safe distancing measures both in the workplace and at home.

* To commit to wearing masks and using sterilisers both at work and at home.

* To abide by working hours and shift requirements and to ban gatherings in workplaces and homes.

The MoCI has stressed that all companies and retail outlets must comply with the decisions of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Public Health in this regard. It warned that any violation of the decision’s provisions will subject perpetrators to legal measures.

The ministry will intensify its inspection campaigns to ensure the compliance of parties concerned with their obligations in line with this decision and to crack down on any violations in this regard.

The ministry noted that the decision, which was issued yesterday, may be subject to amendments and updates according to the latest developments in this regard. The MoCI has called on all citizens and residents to seek information only from official sources, and to consult its website and social media pages for the latest news and updates.

الدوحة – الشرق:

أصدرت وزارة التجارة والصناعة تعميما ،اليوم الخميس، بشأن تحديد أوقات العمل والأنشطة التجارية خلال شهر رمضان المبارك وذلك بناء على قرار مجلس الوزراء وفي إطار الإجراءات الوقائية والتدابير الاحترازية التي تتخذها الدولة للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا تقرر تحديد مواعيد وأوقات العمل لشركات ومحال القطاع الخاص خلال شهر رمضان. وقالت الوزارة ، عبر تغريدة نشرتها على حسابها الرسمي بموقع تويتر، إنه قد تقرر استثناء قطاع المقاولات والإنشاءات من قرار تحديد ساعات العمل.

 ويشمل القرار الأنشطة التالية:

شركات المقاولات والإنشاءات وشركات مواد البناء والمعدات والورش الفنية والميكانيكية وورش النجارة والمكاتب والمختبرات الهندسية والمخازن والمستودعات.

علي أن يتم الأالتزام بالاشتراطات التالي:

** قياس درجة حرارة جميع العاملين مرتين في اليوم وعزل أي عامل تكوت درجة حرارته مرتفعة

** إعداد قائمة بكافة العمال من ذوي الحالات المرضية المزمنة وفئة كبار السن

** الالتزام بالمسافة الآمنة في اماكن العمل والسكن

** الالتزام باستخدام الكمامات والمعقمات في أماكن العمل والسكن

** التزام الشركات والعاملين بضوابط أوقات العمل واشتراطات المناوبة ومنع التجمعات في أماكن العمل والسكن

ويتوجب على الشركات والمحال التجارية الالتزام بقرارات وزارة التنمية الادارية والعمل والشؤون اللإجنماعية ووزارة الصحة العامة بهذا الشأن .

وشددت الوزارة على ان أي مخالفة لما نص عليه هذا القرار تعرض مرتكبيها الإجراءات والمساءلة القانوينة.

وقالت الوزارة إن القرار صدر بيوم الخميس الموافق 23 أبريل 2020 وهو قابل للتعديل والتحديث وفق التطورات والمستجدات بهذا الشأن وعليه تهيب وزارة التجارة والصناعة بكافة المواطنين والمقيمين استقاء المعلومات من مصادرها الصحيحة ومتابعة الصفحات الرسمية للوزارة للاطلاع على آخر الاخبار والمستجدات.

وكانت الوزارة قد أصدرت  تعميما ،اليوم الخميس، بشأن تحديد أوقات العمل والأنشطة التجارية خلال شهر رمضان المبارك  قررت فيه تحديد مواعيد وأوقات العمل لشركات ومحال القطاع الخاص خلال شهر رمضان المبارك لتكون من الساعة التاسعة صباحا وحتى الثالثة عصرا ويستثنى من هذا القرار الأنشطة التالية:

** منافذ بيع المواد الغذائية والتموينية والسلع الاستهلاكية والخضروات والفواكه “الهايبر ماركت – السوبر ماركت – البقالات”.

** أنشطة المطاعم والمقاهي والكوفي شوب ” التي يسمح لها بتوصيل الطلبات فقط”.

** محلات بيع الحلويات والقهوة والتمور.

** شركات توصيل الطلبات عبر التبطبيقات الالكترونية.

** شركات الاتصالات والصيدليات ومحطات البترول وخدمات السيارات وورش الصيانة التابعة للوكالاتوالمخابز والشركات العاملة في الطقاع الفندقي والمصانع وشركات الصيانة “خدمات السباكة والكهرباء والإلكترونيات”

** شركات الخدمات اللوجسيتة وشركات الشحن والعاملة في الموانئ والمطارات والخدمات الجمركية.
