Amusement park, restaurant in major shopping mall found flouting law in Ramadan surprise check

Doha: The sudden inspection campaign carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce has resulted in registering violations for a number of shops in one of the major commercial complexes in Doha including a children Amusement parks and a restaurant for non-compliance with the Commercial Licenses Law.
Seven other violations were also registered on a number of shops in the commercial complex, ranging from the expiry of the commercial license, failure to meet the general and special requirements of the shops, not showing the commercial license in the shop, and exercising activities not mentioned in the license. The infringing shops have been notified of the modification of their status in the licenses and commercial records.
These intensive campaigns come within the framework of the initiatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, launched on the occasion of Ramadan under the slogan ‘Less than duty’, as the Ministry has been intensifying the inspection campaigns before and during the holy month of Ramadan as part of its keenness to regulate and monitor the markets and commercial activities in the country and to monitor the compliance with the laws and regulations governing the practice of commercial activities in order to control and detect violations to protect consumers rights.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce urged all traders and shop owners to abide by the rules and regulations of practicing commercial activities and invited them to familiarize themselves with the laws and regulations governing the conduct of commercial activities by visiting the website of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce www.mec.gov.qa so as not to be subject to legal liability and violation.
The Ministry also urged all citizens and residents to report any violations or irregularities related to registration and commercial licenses through its communication channels. (QNA)
أسفرت الحملة التفتيشية المفاجئة التي قامت بها وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة على عدد من المحال التجارية بأحد المجمعات التجارية الكبرى بمدينة الدوحة، عن ضبط ومخالفة مدينة ألعاب ترفيهية للأطفال ومطعم بالمجمع التجاري لعدم الالتزام بقانون الرخص التجارية.
كما تم ضبط وتحرير 7 مخالفات أخرى بعدد من المحال التجارية داخل المجمع التجاري تنوعت ما بين انتهاء صلاحية الرخصة التجارية، وعدم استيفاء الاشتراطات العامة والخاصة للمحلات التجارية، وعدم إبراز الرخصة التجارية أو تعليقها داخل المحل، وممارسة أنشطة غير مذكورة في الترخيص. وقد تم إخطار المحلات المخالفة بتعديل أوضاعها في الرخص والسجلات التجارية.
وتأتي هذه الحملات المكثفة ضمن باقة مبادرات وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة التي أطلقتها بمناسبة شهر رمضان الفضيل تحت شعار “#أقل_من_الواجب”، حيث دأبت الوزارة على تكثيف الحملات التفتيشية قبيل وخلال شهر رمضان المبارك وذلك في إطار حرصها على تنظيم ومراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة، ومراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية بهدف ضبط المخالفات والكشف عن التجاوزات حفاظاً على حماية حقوق المستهلكين.
وحثت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة جميع التجار وأصحاب المحال التجارية بضرورة الالتزام بأنظمة وقوانين مزاولة الأنشطة التجارية المعمول بها، ودعتهم إلى الاطلاع على الأنظمة والقوانين المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية، من خلال زيارة موقع وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة www.mec.gov.qa حتى لا يتعرضوا للمسائلة القانونية والمخالفة.
كما حثت الوزارة جميع المواطنين والمقيمين بالإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات تخص التسجيل والتراخيص التجارية من خلال قنواتها التواصلية.
