MADLSA penalises 2 companies for violating Covid-19 prevention directives

Two more companies in Qatar have been penalised for bussing more than the allowable number of workers to their work sites.

As per a directive from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, busses are prohibited to carry more than half their seating capacities as part of measures to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar. Companies are also required to ensure that workers maintained a safe distance from one another while getting in and out of the bus.

The ministry, in a statement, said the two companies were found to have violated these precautions. The violations were caught during ministry-led inspections of work sites in Qatar.

The ministry called on the public to report such violations, including those at workers’ residences, on its hotline 4028-0660.

خالفت وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية اثنتين من الشركات الكبرى المتخصصة في الإنشاءات، بمنطقة لوسيل وذلك بسبب عدم التزامهما بالتوجيهات التي أصدرتها اللجنة العليا لإدارة الأزمات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيدـ 19).

وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان أنه تمت مخالفة الشركتين لعدم الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية التي تتمثل في ألا يتجاوز العدد الأقصى للعمال والمستخدمين في الحافلات 50 بالمئة من عدد المقاعد في الحافلة، وتوفير مسافات آمنة بين العمال عند الصعود والنزول من الحافلات، وعليه تمت إحالتهما للجهات الأمنية لاتخاذ اللازم بشأنهما.

جاء ذلك في إطار الحملات التفتيشية التي يقوم بها مفتشو العمل بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية للتأكد من التزام الشركات بالإجراءات الاحترازية اللازمة.

يذكر أن الوزارة خصصت الخط الساخن 40280660 للإبلاغ عن مخالفات اشتراطات سكن العمال.
