British warning of mysterious symptoms of Coronavirus affecting children.. And World Health Organization comments

Intensive care doctors at British hospitals have warned of mysterious serious symptoms among children, particularly those infected with the new Coronavirus, at a time when the World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed serious concern.
According to the BBC, the urgent warning states that intensive care units in London and other parts of Britain are treating children with very serious conditions with strange symptoms.
These symptoms include “infections in different organs”, and others similar to flu symptoms, and tests have shown that some – but not all of them — have been infected with THE Coronavirus.
It is not clear how many children have been diagnosed with this new syndrome, but it is believed that they are not many.
The warning, issued by the Health Insurance Authority England branch, said there was a “growing concern” that an inflammatory syndrome linked to Coronavirus might have emerged in children in Britain, or that another infection that was not yet known to be linked to the virus.
According to the BBC, these children, of different ages, are in a very bad condition, and they have symptoms similar to those of toxic shock like high fever, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing and rashes.
Some also suffer from gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, as well as heart inflammation and abnormal blood tests.
Experts say these are signs that the body is trying to tackle very serious infections.
The widely publicized warning stated that such cases needed urgent treatment.
However, experts have confirmed that the number of children developing serious symptoms of Coronavirus infection is very small, and that information from around the world indicates that they are the least affected by the epidemic.
England’s health insurance system says it is aware of fewer than 20 cases of the syndrome in the country, with doctors treating it observing a link to Coronavirus.
Research continues, but no link had been established between the two cases.
“Over the past three weeks, there has been a clear rise in the number of children of all ages suffering from multiple infections requiring intensive care in London and other parts of the UK,” according to The Independent of Britain.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday expressed serious concern, particularly for children, as regular health services were disrupted by the new Coronavirus epidemic.
At the same time, WHO warned that the Corona pandemic is not yet over, with many countries increasingly reopening their economies.

حذر أطباء العناية المركزة في المستشفيات البريطانية، من أعراض خطيرة غامضة تظهر بين الأطفال، خاصة المصابين بفيروس كورونا المستجد، في وقت أعربت منظمة الصحة العالمية عن قلقها البالغ.
وحسب هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية، جاء في التحذير العاجل، أن وحدات العناية الفائقة في لندن وغيرها من المناطق في بريطانيا تقوم بمعالجة أطفال حالاتهم خطيرة جدا ويعانون من أعراض غريبة.
وتشمل هذه الأعراض “التهابات في أعضاء مختلفة”، وأخرى تشبه أعراض الإنفلونزا، وقد أثبتت الفحوص إصابة بعض منهم – ولكن ليس كلهم – بفيروس كورونا.
وليس من الواضح عدد الأطفال الذين تم تشخيص إصابتهم بهذه المتلازمة الجديدة، ولكن من المعتقد أن عددهم ليس بالكثير.
وجاء في التحذير، الصادر عن فرع إنجلترا بهيئة التأمين الصحي، أن ثمة “قلق متزايد” من احتمال ظهور متلازمة تسبب الالتهابات ولها علاقة بفيروس كورونا عند الأطفال في بريطانيا، أو ظهور عدوى أخرى غير معروفة السبب إلى الآن لها علاقة بالإصابة بالفيروس.
ووفق “بي بي سي”، فإن حالة هؤلاء الأطفال، وهم من أعمار مختلفة، سيئة جدا، فهم يعانون من أعراض تشبه أعراض الصدمة السميّة من ارتفاع درجة الحرارة وانخفاض ضغط الدم وصعوبة التنفس والطفح الجلدي.
ويعاني بعض منهم أيضا من أعراض في الجهاز الهضمي، كألم في البطن والقيء والإسهال، بالإضافة إلى التهاب القلب ونتائج غير طبيعية في تحاليل الدم.
ويقول خبراء إن هذه علامات محاولة الجسم التصدي لالتهابات خطيرة جدا.
وجاء في التحذير، الذي نشر على نطاق واسع، أن هذه الحالات تحتاج إلى علاج عاجل.
لكن خبراء أكدوا أن عدد الأطفال الذين يصابون بأعراض خطيرة جراء العدوى بفيروس كورونا صغير جدا، وأن المعلومات من شتى أنحاء العالم تشير إلى أنهم الشريحة العمرية الأقل تأثرا بالوباء.
ويقول نظام التأمين الصحي في إنجلترا إنه على دراية بحدوث أقل من عشرين إصابة بهذه المتلازمة في البلاد، لاحظ الأطباء المعالجون وجود علاقة بينها وبين الإصابة بكورونا.
وأضاف أن البحوث مستمرة في الموضوع، ولكن لم يثبت وجود ارتباط بين الحالتين.
وبحسب صحيفة “إندبندنت لبريطانية”، فإنه “خلال الأسابيع الثلاثة الماضية، كان هناك ارتفاع واضح في أعداد الأطفال من كل الأعمار الذين يعانون من التهابات متعدة تتطلب العناية المكثفة في لندن ومناطق أخرى في المملكة المتحدة”.
من جانبها، أعربت منظمة الصحة العالمية الاثنين عن قلقها البالغ، خاصة على الأطفال، في ظل انقطاع الخدمات الصحية العادية بِسبب وباء فيروس كورونا المستجد.
وفي الوقت نفسه حذرت المنظمة من أن جائحة كورونا لم تنته بعد في ظل اتجاه متزايد لدى كثير من الدول لإعادة فتح اقتصاداتها من جديد.
