19 people arrested for repackaging expired food items
القبض على 19 متهما لإعادة تعبئة مواد غذائية منتهية الصلاحية

Qatar: Ministry of Interior (MoI) personnel arrested 19 people for illegally modifying expiry date of foodstuff.
MoI said in a statement on twitter that “the North Security Department arrested 15 persons from Arab and Asian countries after they repackaged and wrapped expired foodstuffs inside a warehouse in Umm Abiriya.”
A device used to modify the validity dates of foodstuffs was also seized from them.
“The defendants were referred to the competent prosecution to complete the legal procedures followed in this regard,” the ministry added.

أعلنت وزارة الداخلية أن الجهات المختصة بإدارة أمن الشمال تمكنت من إلقاء القبض على (19) متهمــاً مــن جنسيــات (عربية وآسيوية) إثر قيامهم بإعادة تعبئة وتغليف مواد غذائية منتهية الصلاحية داخل مستودع بمنطقــة أم عبيريــة ، حيث ضُبط بحوزتهم جهــاز يستخدم في تعديل تواريخ صلاحية المواد الغذائية.
وأوضحت الوزارة في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابها بموقع تويتر أنه تم تحريز المضبوطات وإحالة المتهمين إلى النيابة المختصة لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية المتبعة في هذا الشأن.
