SJC extends suspension of sessions in Appeal, First Instance Court & Disputes Settlement Committees

The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) announced the extension of its suspension of the sessions of the Court of Appeal, Court of First Instance, Labour Disputes Settlement Committee and the Rental Disputes Settlement Committee for a period of two weeks starting today, in the context of the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the state to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
In a press statement, SJC affirmed that the judges continue to work in the consideration of urgent and time related matters and to set new dates for postponed hearings, indicating that the Court of Cassation will continue to holding its sessions on the dates specified for them in advance.
The Council provides a system of service to the public during the suspension of hearings by allocating an email address to receive all their inquiries and respond to them according to the jurisdiction of each court, in addition to organizing the work of the alternate judges for each court to consider and decide requests and urgent matters with the formation of teams supporting all courts to serve the litigants. The statement emphasised the continuation of all services provided through the external service centers according to the previously established dates, and requests for the registration of urgent cases and appeals through the electronic portal of the council or attendance at a prior date will continue to be submitted.
The statement appealed that the public to take urgent and prior appointments through the means of communication provided by the Council.
أعلن المجلس الأعلى للقضاء، عن تمديد تعليقه جلسات محكمة الاستئناف والمحكمة الابتدائية ولجان فض المنازعات العمالية ولجان فض المنازعات الإيجارية، لمدة أسبوعين اعتبارًا من أمس، وذلك في إطار الجهود والإجراءات الاحترازية والوقائية التي تتخذها الدولة للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد – 19).
وأكد المجلس في بيان صحفي، استمرار عمل القضاة في نظر الأمور المستعجلة والأمور الوقتية، وغيرها من المسائل العاجلة، وتحديد المواعيد الجديدة بالنسبة للجلسات المؤجلة، مشيراً إلى أن محكمة التمييز ستستمر في نظر جلساتها في المواعيد المحددة لها مسبقاً.
ويوفر المجلس نظام خدمة للجمهور خلال فترة تعليق الجلسات، بتخصيص بريد إلكتروني لاستقبال جميع استفساراتهم، والرد عليها بحسب اختصاص كل محكمة، بالإضافة لتنظيم عمل المناوبة للقضاة بكل محكمة للنظر، والبت في الطلبات والأمور المستعجلة مع تشكيل الفرق الداعمة لجميع المحاكم لخدمة المتقاضين.
وأكد البيان استمرار جميع الخدمات المقدمة عن طريق مراكز الخدمات الخارجية، حسب المواعيد المتبعة سابقاً، كما يستمر تقديم طلبات تسجيل الدعاوى العاجلة والطعون عن طريق البوابة الإلكترونية للمجلس، أو الحضور بموعد مسبق.
وطالب البيان المراجعين في حالة الضرورة القصوى للحضور، بمراعاة أخذ مواعيد عاجلة ومسبقة عن طريق وسائل الاتصال التي يوفرها المجلس.
