’Serious offence’: Qatar’s interior ministry warns against circulating rumours
’أمر في غاية الخطورة’: الداخلية القطرية تحذر من نشر أو تداول الشائعات

The Ministry of Interior on Sunday warned the general public against circulating rumours.
“Involvement in spreading or circulating rumors is a serious offense and may expose you to legal accountability,” the MoI said on Twitter on Monday.
“The competent authorities will summon those who publish and circulate rumors and all legal measures will be taken against them.
“Get the information from its original sources to stay away from rumors and anonymous stories,” it added.

قالت وزارة الداخلية إن المشاركة أو تداول الشائعات يعتبر أمر في غاية الخطورة وقد يعرض مرتكبه للمساءلة القانونية.
ودعت الوزارة عبر سلسلة تغريدات نشرتها على حسابها الرسمي الموثق على موقع التواصل الإجتماعي تويتر، إلى الحرص على استقاء المعلومات من مصادرها الأصلية مؤكدة أن ذلك يجنب الإنسان التعامل مع الشائعات والقصص مجهولة المصدر، وشددت الوزارة على أن الجهات المختصة ستقوم باستدعاء من يقوم بنشر وتداول الشائعات وسيتم اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات القانونية ضدهم.
