Cleaning campaign for Abu Samra beach
حملة لتنظيف شاطئ أبو سمرة من المخلفات
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment – represented by the Environmental Affairs Sector in cooperation with the Qatar Green Building Council, member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and the participation of a number of volunteers interested in environmental issues – organized a campaign to clean Abu Samra beach from the waste left by beach goers, in addition to raising a number of wooden bases Bricks, charcoal, and neglected refrigerators.
The campaign was attended by Mr. Salem Hussain Al-Safran, Assistant Director of the Natural Reserves Department, a number of representatives of the Qatar Green Building Council, employees of the Marine Dukhan Unit of the Natural Reserves Department, and workers of the Department of Public Cleaning.
نظمت وزارة البلدية والبيئة -ممثلة بقطاع شؤون البيئة بالتعاون مع مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء عضو مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، ومشاركة عدد من المتطوعين المهتمين بقضايا البيئة- حملة لتنظيف شاطئ أبو سمرة من المخلفات التي تركها رواد الشاطئ، بالإضافة إلى رفع كمية من القواعد الخشبية والطابوق والفحم والثلاجات المهملة. حضر الحملة كل من السيد سالم حسين السفران مساعد مدير إدارة المحميات الطبيعية، وعدد من ممثلي مجلس قطر للمباني الخضراء، وموظفي وحدة دخان البحرية التابع لإدارة المحميات الطبيعية، وعمال إدارة النظافة العامة.
