Advisory Council delegation for Arab Parliament meeting in Cairo
“الشورى” يشارك في اجتماع البرلمان العربي بالقاهرة
DOHA: A delegation of the Advisory Council (Shura) will take part in the fifth meeting of the second sitting for the second legislative session of the Arab Parliament scheduled to start in Cairo today.
The three-day meeting will discuss developments of the current Arab situation and the continuation of the Arab Parliament’s efforts in supporting the pivotal and strategic Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, the developments of the situation in Yemen and lifting the name of Sudan from the list of States sponsoring terrorism.
The four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament will discuss the latest political developments in the Arab world, achievement of food security, attracting Arab capital to the Arab world, the report on human rights situation in the Arab world in 2017, protection of the rights of refugees and displaced Arab women and children and the preservation of Arab monuments.
The specific committees of the Arab Parliament will hold their meetings, in which the Palestine Committee will discuss the plan of action of the Arab Parliament after the US transferred its embassy to Jerusalem, and ways to strengthen the resources of the Al Aqsa and Jerusalem funds.
The Committee on the Preparation of an Arab Draft Law on Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Committee of Arab Least Developed Countries, the Human Rights Committee for the Arab World, the Committee for the Review of the Arab Convention for the Suppression of Terrorism and the Committee for the Support of Least Developed Arab Countries will also meet.
يشارك وفد من مجلس الشورى في الاجتماع الخامس من دور الانعقاد الثاني للفصل التشريعي الثاني للبرلمان العربي المقرر عقده غدا الاثنين ويستمر لمدة 3 أيام بالقاهرة .
وسيركز الاجتماع على تطورات الأوضاع العربية الراهنة، ومواصلة جهود البرلمان العربي في دعم القضايا العربية المحورية والاستراتيجية الهامة وفي مقدمتها القضية الفلسطينية، وتطورات الأوضاع في اليمن، ورفع اسم السودان من قائمة الدول الراعية للإرهاب.
وستناقش لجان البرلمان العربي الأربع الدائمة خلال اجتماعاتها مستجدات الأوضاع السياسية في العالم العربي، وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي، وجذب رؤوس الأموال العربية للعالم العربي وتقرير حالة حقوق الإنسان في العالم العربي لعام 2017م وحماية حقوق اللاجئين والنازحين من النساء والأطفال العرب، وحفظ الآثار العربية .
وستعقد اللجان النوعية للبرلمان العربي اجتماعاتها، حيث ستجتمع لجنة فلسطين لمناقشة خطة تحرك البرلمان العربي بعد نقل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية سفارتها إلى القدس، وبحث سبل تعزيز موارد صندوقي الأقصى والقدس، كما ستجتمع اللجنة المعنية بإعداد مشروع قانون استرشادي عربي للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، ولجنة الدول العربية الأقل نمواً، واللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان في الوطن العربي، واللجنة المعنية بمراجعة الاتفاقية العربية لمكافحة الإرهاب، ولجنة دعم الدول العربية الأقل نمواً.
