The Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) provided aid worth
QR250,906,854 during 2019.
In a press release yesterday, the Fund said that these aid come within the framework of permanent, cut, and seasonal assistance to needy and registered families, whose needs have been verified by the social, office and field research conducted by the Fund, so as to achieve the goal of delivering aid to the actual beneficiaries.
The Fund provided
QR133,830,636 cyclical assistance; QR30,096,817 one-time aid;
QR30,373,595 tuition fees; QR5,921,572 treatment aids; aid of benevolence basket worth QR18,206,184; QR11,36,900 Eid Al Fitr aid and QR10,812,500 Eid Al Adha aid, as well as foreign aids for (Syrian refugees) worth QR10 millions and other aids worth QR628,650.
Meanwhile, the Zakat Fund at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs provided aid worth
QR15,866,574 during December 2019.
It was disbursed to beneficiaries of families registered with the Fund, in addition to some beneficiaries eligible for emergency one-time aid.
The aid included permanent assistance, which is provided monthly with a value of QR9,632,477, one-time aid with a value of 2,457,690, as well as QR3,305,943 tuition fees and QR420,465 treatment fees along with QR50,000 for those in debt distress.
The Zakat Fund at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is the government entity to which the law entrusts the jurisdiction to collect Zakat funds and pay them to the beneficiaries who meet the Shariah conditions.

ويتمكن الراغبون بتأدية ما يتعين عليهم من زكوات إلى الصندوق من خلال تقديمها عبر مكاتب ونقاط التحصيل التابعة له والمنتشرة في أنحاء الدولة، كما يستطيعون ذلك من خلال أجهزة الصراف الآلي، والمنتشرة في مختلف المناطق الحيوية بالدولة.
