Gaza: A Qatari medical delegation specializing in moving and hearing rehabilitation visited the HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Hospital in Gaza, which was built by the funding of the State of Qatar through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD).
Dr. Raafat Labad, the general manager of the hospital, said that the delegation’s mission, which lasts for a week, will focus on two aspects: the first is training, developing, and refining the expertise of the rehabilitation team cadres in the hospital, and the second is installing and programming the cochlear devices for the cochlear implants of the eighth regiment, who are 13 children.
He stressed that the presence of the delegation will support the rehabilitation services provided in the Gaza Strip in the area of chairs and seating rehabilitation services, children’s rehabilitation services and natural hydrotherapy services. He pointed out that these services are not available in other rehabilitation centers in the Strip, and the presence of the specialized team will contribute to the transfer of expertise and appropriate services and equipment for patients.
Dr. Raafat Labad pointed out that the HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Hospital in Gaza, which started operating its services on April 22, 2019, through QFFD’s funding, provided its services to more than 8,300 patients in 2019. He added that the hospital seeks to be a “Tertiary Center” for medical rehabilitation, prosthetics, education and scientific research in the Gaza Strip, with quality services comparable to the latest international hospitals.
قام وفد طبي قطري متخصص في مجال التأهيل الحركي والسمع بزيارة إلى مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني للتأهيل والأطراف الصناعية في غزة والذي تم تشييده بتمويل من دولة قطر عبر صندوق قطر للتنمية.
وقال الدكتور رأفت لبد المدير العام للمستشفى، إن مهمة الوفد التي تستمر اسبوعا ستتركز على جانبين: الأول تدريب وتطوير وصقل خبرات كوادر فريق التأهيل في المستشفى، والثاني تركيب وبرمجة أجهزة القوقعة للأطفال زارعي القوقعة الفوج الثامن “ورود السلام ” وعددهم 13 طفلاً.
وأكد أن وجود الوفد سيكون داعماً لخدمات التأهيل المقدمة في قطاع غزة في مجال خدمة تأهيل الكراسي والجلوس، وخدمة تأهيل الأطفال، وخدمات العلاج المائي الطبيعي، موضحاً أن هذه الخدمات تفتقر اليها مراكز التأهيل الأخرى في القطاع وسيسهم وجود الفريق المتخصص في نقل الخبرة والخدمة بالشكل المناسب وبالتجهيزات اللازمة للمرضى.
وأشار الدكتور رأفت لبد إلى أن مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني للتأهيل والأطراف الصناعية في غزة والذي بدأ تشغيل خدماته في 22 إبريل من العام الماضي عبر تمويل من صندوق قطر للتنمية، وقدم خدماته لأكثر من 8300 مريض خلال العام الماضي ، يسعى لأن يكون مركزا متقدما (Tertiary Center) للتأهيل الطبي والأطراف الصناعية والتعليم والبحث العلمي في قطاع غزة، بخدمات نوعية تضاهي أحدث المستشفيات العالمية.
وشدد على أن المستشفى يسير في هذا الاتجاه بخطى ثابتة وبتعاون مع وزارة الصحة القطرية عبر صندوق قطر للتنمية وبالتعاون مع المؤسسات ذات العلاقة المحلية منها والدولية.
وذكر أن المستفيدين من هذه الخدمات هم مرضى (الشلل الدماغي التهابات الأعصاب الطرفية القطع الشوكي/ إصابات الحبل الشوكي التهابات المفاصل مثل الروماتويد) والعديد من المرضى ممن يحتاجون إلى إعادة التأهيل إضافة إلى الأطفال زارعي القوقعة.
