Over 200,000 visas issued outside Qatar through QVCs
أكثر من 200 ألف مراجع لمراكز تأشيرات قطر في الخارج
Major Abdullah Khalifa Al Mohannadi, Director of the Visa Support Services Department at the Ministry of Interior has said that over 200,000 visas have been issued by the Qatar Visa Centers (QVCs) abroad since they became operational.
“The total number of visas issued by these centers is around 144,136 while the number of visas rejected, so far, is 7,797, some of the applicants from this number faced rejection on being medically unfit,” said Major Al Mohannadi.
Speaking on a video posted on the social media, the official said that the main goal of Qatar Visa Centers abroad is to ensure entry of only those migrant workers to Qatar who had no criminal records in the native countries and for achieving the objective the authorities were applying the highest security standards.
The speed of services offered at these centers is on the rise and with every passing day the number of visitors to Qatar Visa Centers abroad is also increasing.
On a daily basis, about 1,800 visitors seek different services such as biometric data processing, medical examinations and signing of employment contracts in QVCs.
The QVCs have achieved great transparency. The work contract is offered to the workers before their departure therefore a worker knows with authenticity all the information related to his employment like salary, profession, job title, attached allowances, annual vacations, among others, said Al Mohannadi.
“The worker has the right to object to the work contract and he may request some changes but that is in coordination and approval with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs,” he added
“When the expatriate worker arrives at Hamad International Airport, his biometric are verified,” he said.
Regarding the first visa center opening, he said the first Qatar Visa Center was opened in October 2018 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
On the work of these centres, Al Mohannadi explained that the operations of these centres are supervised by the Ministry of Interior in terms of visas as well as supervised by the Ministry of Health in terms of medical examinations, the Ministry of Labor in terms of labor contracts and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in terms of certification of documents.
The services at Qatar Visa Centers include fingerprint services, registration of vital data, conducting of medical examinations, signing contracts electronically, issuing of documentation and educational qualifications, in addition to other services that will benefit the expatriate workers.

بلغ عدد مراجعي مراكز تأشيرات قطر في الخارج خلال العام الماضي أكثر من مائتي ألف شخص في مؤشر على نجاح هذا المشروع المهم الذي دشنته وزارة الداخلية في العام 2018 بالتعاون مع عدد من الجهات في الدولة.
وأوضح تقرير لوزارة الداخلية بهذا الخصوص أن عدد المراجعين لهذه المراكز المنتشرة في عدد من الدول المصدرة للعمالة بلغ 200 ألف و179 شخصا خلال العام الماضي، فيما بلغ إجمالي عدد الإجراءات فيها مليونا و118 ألفا و687 إجراء.
ويصل عدد مراكز تأشيرات قطر في الخارج حتى الآن 14 مركزا في ست دول آسيوية مصدرة للعمالة هي سيرلانكا، وبنغلاديش، وباكستان ، والهند، ونيبال، والفلبين.
وتأتي هذه المراكز بهدف تسهيل وتبسيط إجراءات الاستقدام بشكل عام وحماية حقوق الوافدين وضمان سلامتهم وتسهيل كافة إجراءات دخولهم إلى الدولة، فضلا عن تدقيق وتوثيق عملية توظيفهم وتسريع مباشرتهم العمل في ظل إجراءات مبسطة وسلسة وفعالة، مع ضمان حقوق المستقدمين.
وأكد الرائد عبد الله خليفة المهندي مدير إدارة الخدمات المساندة للاستقدام بالإدارة العامة للجوازات، أن هذا المشروع يأتي في إطار حرص وزارة الداخلية على تقديم المزيد من الخدمات الالكترونية المتميزة التي تساعد على إنجاز خدماتها المقدمة للمستقدمين بكل يسر وسهولة وتوفير الوقت والجهد.
وقال إن وزارة الداخلية نجحت بالتعاون مع الجهات المعنية في الدولة في تدشين 14 مركزا في 6 دول خلال المرحلة الأولى للمشروع.. مبينا أن الخدمات الطبية التي تقدمها هذه المراكز أصبحت أكثر سهولة وموفرة للجهد والمال لأنها أعفت المستقدمِين من التبعات المالية المترتبة على إعادة الوافد إلى بلاده في حالة عدم اللياقة الطبية.
وأشار إلى أن الإجراءات الطبية التي تمت خلال العام الماضي أظهرت أن 143 ألفا و776 شخصا لائقا طبيا، وأن (7687) غير لائق طبيا، بسبب إصابتهم بأمراض انتقالية، وأمراض مزمنة.
في سياق متصل، أنجزت مراكز تأشيرات قطر في الخارج 158 ألفا و810 عقود عمل تمت الموافقة عليها، ورفض ( 188 ) عقد عمل فقط ، كما تم إنجاز 160 ألفا و930 بصمة وبيانات حيوية، فيما أظهرت عملية التدقيق الأمني وجود ( 1200 ) تأشيرة مقيدة أمنيا و( 950 ) تأشيرة مرفوضة.
وأوضح المهندي أن نسبة الدقة في الإجراءات التي تقوم بها مراكز تأشيرات قطر بالخارج تصل إلى 100 بالمائة حيث تتم جميعها الكترونيا وبمتابعة من قبل وزارة الداخلية.. مؤكدا أنه لا تتم الموافقة على أي إجراء طبي إلا بعد اعتماده من قبل القومسيون الطبي في دولة قطر بعد التأكد من بصمة الوافد قبل إجراء أي مرحلة من المراحل داخل مراكز التأشيرات.
