Prime Minister stresses need for Qatari companies to participate in Media City development

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al -Thani has stressed the need for Qatari companies to participate in the development of the media city through various services of their companies.
This came during His Excellency attending the first meeting to discuss ways of cooperation between the private and public sector of the Media City and its various components, which was held in Lusail City today.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior stressed the importance of upgrading the services provided by the Qatari companies to win the trust of the international media institutions that will be present in the city.
For his part, HE the Chairman of Media City Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed Al -Thani said in a statement that the Media City project is one of the strategic projects in the country, stressing the importance of the participation of the Qatari private sector in the development of the stages of the Media City project.
His Excellency added that several tenders will be issued to meet the phases and development of the project and will be directed mainly to Qatari companies, he also confirmed his confidence in these companies to be a key partner in the Media City project.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Qatari Diar Abdullah Hamad Al-Attiyah confirmed the readiness of the Lusail City to attract various international companies to be based, noting that the city is a hard working brick over the past years to create an integrated city that emulates the developed cities globally.
On the involvement of the private sector in various projects in the State of Qatar, Khamis Ahmed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Technical Committee to stimulate the participation of the private sector in economic development projects stressed the importance of this matter and that the committee he chairs seeks to support and stimulate the private sector through the inclusion of local companies in various projects in the country.
This is the first meeting to be followed by several meetings for each phase of the Media City project, where Qatari specialized companies will be invited to each phase of the project.
أكد معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، على ضرورة مشاركة الشركات القطرية في تطوير المدينة الإعلامية من خلال الخدمات المختلفة لشركاتهم.
جاء ذلك خلال حضور معاليه اللقاء الأول لمناقشة سبل التعاون بين القطاعين الخاص والعام للمدينة الإعلامية، ومكوناتها المختلفة، الذي عقد بمدينة لوسيل أمس.
وشدد معالي رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية على أهمية الارتقاء بالخدمات التي تقدم من الشركات القطرية لكسب ثقة المؤسسات الإعلامية العالمية التي ستتواجد في المدينة.
من جهته، قال سعادة الشيخ سيف بن أحمد آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس إدارة المدينة الإعلامية، في تصريح له، إن مشروع المدينة الإعلامية يعدّ من المشاريع الاستراتيجية في الدولة، مؤكداً أهمية مشاركة القطاع الخاص القطري في تطوير مراحل مشروع المدينة الإعلامية.
وأضاف سعادته أنه سيتم طرح عدة مناقصات لتلبي مراحل المشروع وتطوره، وستوجه هذه المناقصات بشكل أساسي للشركات القطرية، كما أكد ثقته في هذه الشركات بأن تكون شريكاً أساسياً في مشروع المدينة الإعلامية.
من جهته، أكد السيد عبدالله حمد العطية، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الديار القطرية، على جاهزية مدينة لوسيل لاستقطاب الشركات العالمية المختلفة لتكون مقراً لها، موضحاً أن المدينة هي لبنة عمل دؤوب على مدار السنوات الماضية لعمل مدينة متكاملة تحاكي المدن المتقدمة عالمياً.
وبخصوص إشراك القطاع الخاص في المشروعات المختلفة في دولة قطر، أكد السيد خميس أحمد المهندي، رئيس اللجنة الفنية لتحفيز ومشاركة القطاع الخاص في مشروعات التنمية الاقتصادية، أهمية هذا الأمر، وأن اللجنة التي يرأسها تسعى دائماً لدعم وتحفيز القطاع الخاص، من خلال إدراج الشركات المحلية في المشاريع المختلفة بالدولة.
ويعد هذا اللقاء هو الأول، وسيتبعه لقاءات عديدة لكل مرحلة من مراحل مشروع المدينة الإعلامية، حيث ستتم دعوة الشركات القطرية المتخصصة لكل مرحلة من مراحل المشروع.
