Attorney-General signs a pact with UNITAR
النائب العام يوقّع شراكة مع «الأمم المتحدة للتدريب»

HE the Attorney General of Qatar and the United Nations Special Advocate against Corruption, Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Nikhil Seth, signed a partnership agreement between (UNITAR) and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre (ROLACC) in Doha, in the presence of HE the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan al-Mansouri.
The agreement aims to make Doha an anti-corruption training centre.
The UN office, in co-operation with ROLACC, provides advanced training to more than 1,200 trainees from all countries, where 204 trainees are selected as part of the training programme and this programme lasts for two years.
The programme aims to build a global base to increase awareness of combating corruption, exchange of information between experts and the provision of many new and distinguished experts worldwide in this field.
The Geneva-based United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has provided innovative educational solutions for individuals and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support action at the country level to shape a better future.
UNITAR was established in 1963 to train and equip young diplomats from the newly independent UN member states with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the diplomatic environment. UNITAR also supports governments to implement the 2030 Plan.
وقّع سعادة الدكتور علي بن فطيس المري النائب العام والمحامي الخاص للأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد، وسعادة نيخيل ساث مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة المدير التنفيذي لمعهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والبحث «UNITAR»، على اتفاقية شراكة بين المعهد ومركز حكم القانون ومكافحة الفساد بالدوحة، حضر التوقيع سعادة السفير علي خلفان المنصوري المندوب الدائم لدولة قطر لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.
تهدف هذه الاتفاقية إلى جعل الدوحة مركزاً للتدريب في مجال مكافحة الفساد، حيث يقدم مكتب الأمم المتحدة بالتعاون مع مركز حكم القانون ومكافحة الفساد، تدريباً متقدماً لما يزيد عن 1200 متدرب من الدول كافة، حيث يتم اختيار 240 متدرباً متميزاً ضمن برنامج تدريب المدربين، ويستمر هذا البرنامج لمدة عامين.
ويهدف هذا البرنامج إلى بناء قاعدة عالمية تهدف إلى زيادة التعريف بمكافحة الفساد، وتبادل المعلومات بين الخبراء، وتوفير العديد من الخبراء الجدد والمتميزين على مستوى العالم في هذا المجال.
الجدير بالذكر أن معهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والبحث «UNITAR» ومقره جنيف، قد وفر حلولاً تعليمية مبتكرة للأفراد والمؤسسات، لتعزيز عملية
اتخاذ القرارات على المستوى العالمي، ودعم العمل على المستوى القطري من أجل
تشكيل مستقبل أفضل.
وقد جرى إنشاء «UNITAR» في عام 1963، لتدريب الدبلوماسيين الشباب وتجهيزهم من الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة المستقلة حديثاً بالمعارف والمهارات اللازمة للتنقل عبر البيئة الدبلوماسية، كما يدعم اليونيتار الحكومات لتنفيذ خطة عام 2030.
