Partial Expansion of Shuail bin Abdulla Al Attiya Street at Al Kharatiyat and Diversion of Grand Hypermarket Entrance
توسعة جزء من شارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية في منطقة الخريطيات وتحويل مدخل “جراند هايبر ماركت”
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the completion of the partial expansion of Shuail bin Abdulla Al Attiya Street at Al Kharatiyat area, from one to two lanes in each direction, with a new service road on the side of the street.
To complete the infrastructure works within the street, the entrance of the Grand Hypermarket will be closed and will be diverted to an alternative road. The traffic change will start on Wednesday 10 July 2019 and will last for a period of one year, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, road users can reach Grand Hypermarket as follows and as shown in the above map:
Traffic coming from the street parallel to Al Shamal Road and heading to the Grand Hypermarket, have to turn left to Shuail bin Abdulla Al-Attiya Street and then turn right towards Al Kharaitiyat Street, and then turn right to the alternative road to reach the new entrance behind the Grand Hypermarket.
Traffic coming from Shuail bin Abdulla Al-Attiya Street (from the direction of Al Kharaitiyat Medical Center) and heading towards the roundabout known as Al Kharaitiyat Roundabout, will have to turn left on the roundabout to Al Kharaitiyat Street and then turn right to the alternative road.
Traffic on Shuail bin Abdulla Al Attiya Street, at the east of Al Kharaitiyat Street, will have to make a U-turn then use the alternative road from Al Kharaitiyat Street.
The traffic change aims to allow the completion of infrastructure works on Shuail bin Abdulla Al-Attiya Street, as part of the Roads and Infrastructure Development Project in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa-Phase 1, Package 3, and in line with Ashghal’s efforts to rehabilitate the existing roads and to establish new and permanent roads in the area.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن اكتمال توسعة جزء من شارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية في منطقة الخريطيات ليصبح بمسارين في كل اتجاه بدلاً من مسار واحد، مع إضافة مسار للخدمات على جانب الطريق.
وضمن أعمال تطوير البنية التحتية بالشارع ستقوم “أشغال” بإغلاق مدخل “جراند هايبر ماركت” وتحويل المدخل لطريق بديل، وذلك اعتباراً من الأربعاء 10 يوليو 2019 ولمدة عام، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
خلال هذه الفترة، يمكن الوصول إلى جراند هايبر ماركت بالشكل التالي وكما هو موضح بالخريطة أعلاه:
على القادمين من الشارع الموازي لطريق الشمال الانعطاف يساراً نحو شارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية ثم الانعطاف يميناً نحو شارع الخريطيات، ثم يميناً إلى الطريق البديل واستخدام المدخل الجديد الواقع خلف جراند هايبر ماركت.
على القادمين من شارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية (من اتجاه مركز الخريطيات الطبي) نحو الدوار المعروف بدوار الخريطيات، الانعطاف على الدوار إلى اليسار نحو شارع الخريطيات ومنه يميناً إلى الطريق البديل.
أما مرتادي شارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية شرق شارع الخريطيات، فعليهم الدوران للخلف واستخدام الطريق البديل من خلال شارع الخريطيات.
يهدف هذا التغيير المروري إلى إتاحة المجال لاستكمال أعمال البنية التحتية لشارع شعيل بن عبدالله العطية، وذلك ضمن مشروع تطوير الطرق والبنية التحتية في الخريطيات وإزغوى – المرحلة الأولى (الحزمة الثالثة)، وفي إطار جهود الهيئة لإعادة تأهيل الطرق القائمة وإنشاء طرق جديدة دائمة ومتطورة.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
