Joint Command and Staff College organises graduation ceremony

Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College celebrated yesterday the graduation of the Joint Operations Course No 1 and the Joint Command and Staff Course No 5, at the headquarters of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College in the presence of HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem.
The first edition of the Joint Operations Course lasted for 43 weeks, involving 17 officers. Each graduate received a master’s degree in strategic and management sciences.
The participants in this course were senior officers from various units of the Qatari Armed Forces. Future editions may include officers from brotherly and friendly countries.
The main objectives of the course include enhancing the capabilities of officers engaged in the analysis of regional and international crises, training on the management of joint operations and management of strategic crisis, and identifying current and future challenges facing the armed forces at the operational and strategic levels.
Meanwhile, the Joint Command and Staff Course No 5, which kicked off in September and lasted for 11 months, included 32 officers from different military bodies in the state, 22 officers from Kuwait and four officers from Oman.
The course aimed at qualifying officers to become commanders and officers capable of working in various environments and conditions required by joint action.
Commenting on the occasion, Brig Gen. (Pilot) Mohamed Hamad Fetais al-Marri, director, Specialised Studies at Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College, extended thanks to HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, and HE the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training Maj Gen. Mohamed bin Hamad al-Nuaimi, for their unlimited support which contributes directly to the development of officers of the Armed Forces, thus increasing their readiness for the challenges ahead.
Al-Marri added that under the directives of the General Command in keeping pace with development, Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College plans to hold a national defence course in September next year. (QNA)
تحت رعاية وبحضور سعادة الفريق الركن (طيار) غانم بن شاهين الغانم، رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة، احتفلت كلية جوعان بن جاسم للقيادة والأركان المشتركة بتخريج دورة العمليات المشتركة رقم (1)، ودورة القيادة والأركان المشتركة رقم (5)، بمقر كلية أحمد بن محمد العسكرية.
ويُعتبر المشاركون في دورة العمليات المشتركة رقم (1) من ذوي الرتب العليا ومن مختلف وحدات القوات المسلحة القطرية، مع إمكانية مشاركة ضباط من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في النسخ القادمة.
وعُقدت دورة العمليات المشتركة في نسختها الأولى على مستوى الدولة، واستمرت لمدة 43 أسبوعاً، والتي شارك فيها 17 من الضباط الدارسين؛ حيث قدّم كل دارس بحث التخرّج الخاص به، وحصل الخريج على درجة الماجستير في العلوم الاستراتيجية والإدارية.
ومن أبرز أهداف هذه الدورة تعزيز قدرات الضباط الدارسين في مجال تحليل الأزمات الإقليمية والدولية، والتأهيل لإدارة العمليات المشتركة وإدارة الأزمات الاستراتيجية، والتعرف على التحديات الحالية والمستقبلية التي تواجه القوات المسلحة على المستويين العملياتي والاستراتيجي.
كما تضَمِنَ الحفل تخريج دورة القيادة والأركان المشتركة رقم (5)، والتي انطلقت في سبتمبر الماضي واستمرت لمدة 11 شهراً.
وشهدت هذه الدورة مشاركة 32 ضابطاً دارساً من مختلف الجهات العسكرية بالدولة، و22 ضابطاً من دولة الكويت الشقيقة، و4 ضباط من سلطنة عُمان الشقيقة.
وهدفت الدورة إلى تأهيل الضباط ليصبحوا قادة وضباط أركانية مؤهلين للعمل في البيئات والظروف التي يتطلبها العمل المشترك.
وعبّر العميد الركن (طيار) محمد حمد فطيس المري، مدير الدراسات التخصصية في كلية جوعان بن جاسم للقيادة والأركان المشتركة، عن شكره لسعادة الدكتور خالد بن محمد العطية نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع، وإلى سعادة الفريق الركن (طيار) غانم بن شاهين الغانم رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة، وسعادة اللواء الركن حمد بن أحمد النعيمي نائب رئيس الأركان للتعليم والتدريب على دعمهم اللامحدود، والذي يسهم بشكل مباشر في تطوير ضباط القوات المسلحة مما يرفع من جاهزيتهم واستعدادهم للتحديات القادمة؛ مباركاً للخريجين اجتيازهم متطلبات النجاح لدورتي العمليات المشتركة رقم (1)، والقيادة والأركان المشتركة رقم (5).
كما أكد العميد أنه بناء على توجيهات القيادة العامة في مواكبة التطوير، تتجه كلية جوعان بن جاسم للقيادة والأركان المشتركة لعقد دورة الدفاع الوطني، والتي سوف تبدأ بشهر سبتمبر من العام المقبل.
