Amir meets members of US House committees on intelligence and foreign affairs

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met on Wednesday with the Chairman of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Adam Schiff and a number of its members at the headquarters of the US Congress in Washington, DC. The meeting reviewed the strategic bilateral ties, particularly in the security fields, in addition to the scope for enhancing them. The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met on Wednesday with the Chairman of the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs Eliot Engel, Vice-Chair of the Committee Joe Wilson, Chairman of the Middle East, North Africa, and International Terrorism Subcommittee Ted Deutch, Vice-Chair of the subcommittee Michael McCaul, Steve Shabot, Brad Sherman, at the headquarters of the US Congress in Washington, DC. The meeting dealt with the strategic bilateral relations and co-operation, and the scope for expanding them in different field in light of the agreements signed by the two countries. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues. The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
اجتمع حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، مع السيناتور جيم ريش رئيس لجنة العلاقات الخارجية بمجلس الشيوخ الأميركي، والسيناتور بوب ميننديز نائب الرئيس، بحضور معظم أعضاء اللجنة، وهم: السيناتور مت رومني، والسيناتور تيد كروز، والسيناتور ليندسي غراهام، والسيناتور روب بورتمان، والسيناتور ماركو روبيو، والسيناتور بين كاردن، والسيناتور جين شاهين، والسيناتور توم يودال، والسيناتور جون ايزكسون، والسيناتور رون جونسون، والسيناتور تيم كين، والسيناتور جون باراسو، والسيناتور جيف ميركيلي، والسيناتور تود يونغ، والسيناتور إدوارد ماركي، وذلك بمقر «الكونجرس» في العاصمة واشنطن دي سي بعد ظهر أمس. وتناول الاجتماع العلاقات الثنائية الاستراتيجية بين دولة قطر والولايات المتحدة الأميركية الصديقة، وآفاق تطويرها في مختلف المجالات. وأشاد أعضاء اللجنة بأواصر التعاون الوثيقة، سيما على الصعيدين السياسي والعسكري، وبتوسعة دولة قطر لقاعدة العديد واستضافتها مزيداً من القوات الأميركية. معربين عن شكرهم لسمو الأمير على جهود قطر في هذا المجال. كما جرى خلال الاجتماع تبادل وجهات النظر حول أبرز القضايا ومستجدات الأوضاع إقليمياً ودولياً.
