Silatech signs partnership pacts with WHO, UNITAR
شراكة استراتيجية بين «صلتك» و«الصحة العالمية»

Silatech signed a co-operation agreement with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to work under the “Working for Health” programme, which is carried out in partnership between WHO, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
Also, Silatech signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in the field of youth employment training.
Silatech CEO, Sabah al-Haidoos said that Silatech seeks to expand its network of partnerships with international organisations, especially the UN organisations and bodies, to empower young people economically and socially, and to address global challenges such as the unemployment crisis and its consequences.
Al-Haidoos added that the rehabilitation, training, and capacity-building of young people are important factors in facilitating their access to economic opportunities and the labour market, in order to succeed and contribute to the development of their societies.
She praised Silatech’s collaboration with WHO and UNITAR in the Working for Health programme, which aims to raise the efficiency of health workers and provide employment and training opportunities for young people.
Meanwhile, Silatech CEO, Sabah al-Haidoos met with WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at WHO headquarters in Geneva.
The meeting discussed the partnership between Silatech and WHO, stressing the importance of working to provide skilled and trained labour to contribute to the renaissance of this sector, especially in fragile states and conflict areas (Silatech’s focus areas).
The meeting also dealt with investment in education and skills to build the capacities of young people to contribute to facilitating their access to employment opportunities in this vital sector which is growing rapidly.
“Working for Health” five-year action plan aim to galvanise international support and help countries develop their own health workforce policies and capacities.
This work will help countries achieve many of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly good health and well-being, quality education, decent jobs, and gender equality.
Furthermore, Silatech CEO, Sabah al-Haidoos met with Executive Director of UNITAR Nikhil Seth in Geneva in the presence of HE the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Ali al-Mansouri.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthening co-operation in the field of training and capacity-building of young people with the necessary skills to enter the labour market.
Silatech’s partnership with UNITAR is part of its continuing efforts to empower young people economically and socially, in addition, to contribute to achieving a number of priorities for the 2030 United Nations Youth Strategy.
The partnership also aims to achieve a number of sustainable development objectives through capacity-building and training of young people, which contributes to facilitate their access to jobs and achieve their aspirations, that will contribute to achieving the economic development of their communities.
UNITAR provides innovative learning solutions to individuals, organisations, and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support country-level action for shaping a better future.
This collaboration comes within the framework of developing and supporting Silatech’s partnerships with international organisations that are active and important in order to empower and provide employment for the largest number of young people and to achieve the Foundation’s goal of providing 5mn youth jobs by 2022.
في إطار تطوير ودعم شراكاتها مع المنظمات الدولية الفاعلة والمهمة من أجل تمكين أكبر عدد ممكن من الشباب وتوفير فرص العمل لهم، وتحقيق هدف المؤسسة الرامي إلى توفير 5 ملايين وظيفة للشباب بحلول عام 2022؛ عقدت الرئيس التنفيذي لـ«صلتك» الأستاذة صباح الهيدوس اجتماعاً مع المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية د. تيدروس أدحانوم غيبريوس، في مقر المنظمة بجنيف، حيث تمت مناقشة أوجه التعاون والشراكة بين «صلتك» ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، وأهمية العمل على توفير أيدٍ عاملة ماهرة ومدرّبة تساهم في نهضة هذا القطاع وسد العجز فيه، خاصة في الدول الهشة ومناطق النزاعات، وهي مناطق تركيز عمليات «صلتك».
كما تناول الاجتماع الاستثمار في التعليم والمهارات لبناء قدرات الشباب، بما يساهم في توفير فرص عمل لهم في هذا القطاع الحيوي الذي يشهد نمواً متسارعاً.
وقد تم الاتفاق على التعاون بين «صلتك» ومنظمة الصحة العالمية في برنامج «العمل من أجل الصحة»، الذي يتم بالشراكة بين منظمة الصحة العالمية ومنظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية ومنظمة العمل الدولية.
وتتمثل أهداف برنامج «العمل من أجل الصحة» في تعزيز وحشد الاستثمارات في قطاع الصحة، وبناء قدرات وتأهيل الأيدي العاملة في هذا المجال، وتوفير فرص عمل وظيفية في هذا القطاع الحيوي؛ الأمر الذي يؤدي إلى تحقيق التمكين الاقتصادي للشباب والمرأة.
وقالت الأستاذة صباح الهيدوس، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ «صلتك»: «نسعى إلى توسيع شبكة شراكاتنا مع المنظمات الدولية، خاصة منظمات وهيئات الأمم المتحدة، من أجل تمكين الشباب اقتصادياً واجتماعياً، ومعالجة التحديات العالمية مثل أزمة البطالة وما ينتج عنها من عواقب. إن تأهيل الشباب وتدريبهم وبناء قدراتهم يُعدّ عاملاً مهماً في سبيل تسهيل وصولهم إلى الفرص الاقتصادية وسوق العمل؛ مما يساعدهم في تحقيق ذاتهم والإسهام في تنمية مجتمعاتهم. ونحن نثمّن هذا التعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية في برنامج العمل من أجل الصحة، الذي يهدف إلى رفع كفاءة العاملين في القطاع الصحي وتوفير فرص وظيفية للشباب».
وفي سياق متصل، وقّعت «صلتك» مذكرة تفاهم مع معهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والأبحاث «UNITAR»؛ للتعاون في مجال تدريب الشباب من أجل التوظيف.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء بين الرئيس التنفيذي لـ «صلتك» الأستاذة صباح الهيدوس، والمدير التنفيذي لمعهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والأبحاث «UNITAR» السيد نيخيل سيث، في مدينة جنيف السويسرية، بحضور سعادة السفير علي المنصوري مندوب قطر الدائم لدى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف.
وخلال اللقاء، بحث الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون في مجال تدريب وتأهيل الشباب ورفع قدراتهم وإكسابهم المهارات اللازمة للدخول إلى سوق العمل.
وتأتي هذه الشراكة مع معهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والأبحاث، في إطار سعي مؤسسة صلتك المستمر إلى تمكين الشباب اقتصادياً واجتماعياً، ومساهمتها في تحقيق عدد من أولويات استراتيجية الأمم المتحدة للشباب 2030، وكذلك عدد من أهداف التنمية المستدامة من خلال بناء القدرات وتأهيل الشباب؛ الأمر الذي سيساهم في تسهيل وصولهم إلى الوظائف وتحقيق طموحاتهم، ومن ثم ينعكس ذلك على التنمية الاقتصادية لمجتمعاتهم.
