MOI Public urges to register national addresses
وزارة الداخلية تدعو السكان إلى تسجيل العنوان الوطني
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has invited public to register their national addresses, within six months, starting from tomorrow until July 26.
The national address is the address chosen by the person to correspond with the state or other bodies, and the national address data will include one’s residence address in Qatar, landline and cell phone numbers, e-mail address, and work address for those who work in government or private sector.
“In implementing the provisions of law No.24 of 2017 on the National Address, and Minister of Interior Degree No.96 of 2019 on implementing certain provisions of law No.24 of 2017 on the National Address; the Ministry of Interior invites the competent public (citizens, individuals and legal persons) in accordance with the indicated National Address Law, to register their national addresses, within six months, from Monday, January 27, 2020 to Sunday, July 26, 2020,” the Ministry said yesterday in a statement on its official website.
The registration can be done through Metrash 2, Ministry of Interior website or visiting the Unified Services Centers of the Ministry of Interior.
“That (the registration) is through the Electronic Services of the Ministry (Metrash2, or Ministry of Interior website) or direct registration through the Unified Services Centers of the Ministry of Interior,” added the Ministry. The Ministry has urged people to register the address in the stipulated time, otherwise they will have to bear the legal consequences. “In the event that the registration of the national address is not done within the period indicated above, the violator shall bear all the legal consequences thereof,” said the Ministry.
The National Address will serve many government entities such as the Ministry of Municipality and Environment; the Ministry of Justice; the Supreme Judiciary Council and Planning and Statistics Authority, a senior official had said earlier.
The National Address Law was introduced mainly for correspondence, especially for the courts and the Supreme Judicial Council, because many judicial issues were getting delayed, so the new national address law will solve this problem.

دعت وزارة الداخلية الجمهور المكلف من المواطنين والوافدين والأشخاص الاعتباريين (وفق قانون العنوان الوطني)، إلى تسجيل عناوينهم الوطنية خلال مدة ستة أشهر، اعتباراً من بعد غد، الإثنين، وحتى يوم الأحد الموافق 26 يوليو 2020.
وأوضحت وزارة الداخلية، في بيان لها اليوم، أن التسجيل متاح عن طريق مطراش 2 أو موقع الوزارة على شبكة الانترنت، أو التقديم المباشر عن طريق مراكز الخدمات الموحدة التابعة لوزارة الداخلية .
ونبهت الوزارة إلى أنه في حالة عدم التقدم بتسجيل العنوان الوطني خلال المدة المذكورة يتحمل المخالف جميع الآثار القانونية المترتبة على ذلك.
وأشارت إلى أن هذا التسجيل يأتي تنفيذا لأحكام القانون رقم ( 24 ) لسنة 2017 بشأن العنوان الوطني وقرار وزير الداخلية رقم (96 ) لسنة 2019 بتنفيذ بعض أحكام القانون المذكور.
