US Congress Delegation Visits Katara

Doha: A US Congress Delegation visited on Tuesday the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), on the sidelines of their visit to the country, to see this cultural edifice as one of the most important cultural and tourist destinations in the State of Qatar.

Director-General of Katara Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti accompanied the US Congress Delegation on a tour during which they got acquainted with the facilities of Katara, and gave them detailed explanations about these facilities and their various cultural activities that attract audiences of different age groups and nationalities.

After the tour, the Director-General of Katara presented the members of the US Congress delegation with commemorative shields.

Katara constantly receives visits by dignitaries and officials of the guests of Qatar, in addition to the visits of their Excellencies the ambassadors accredited to the state, to enhance joint cooperation as it constitutes a cultural edifice and a prominent civilizational landmark that translates the vision of the State of Qatar in the importance of investing in culture to build people and society.

الدوحة: قام وفد من أعضاء الكونجرس الأمريكي بزيارة للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/ وذلك على هامش زيارتهم للبلاد ، للاطلاع على هذا الصرح الثقافي كواحد من أهم الوجهات الثقافية والسياحية بدولة قطر .

وقد اصطحب الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي مدير عام المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/ أعضاء الوفد في جولة تعرفوا خلالها على مرافق من الحي الثقافي /كتارا/، وقدم لهم شروحات مفصلة عن هذه المرافق وما تحتضنه من أنشطة ثقافية متنوعة تستقطب الجمهور من مختلف الفئات العمرية والجنسيات.

وقام مدير عام /كتارا/ عقب الجولة بإهداء أعضاء الوفد الأمريكي دروعا تذكارية.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي تستقبل باستمرار زيارات لكبار الشخصيات والمسؤولين من ضيوف قطر ، إلى جانب زيارات أصحاب السعادة السفراء المعتمدين لدى الدولة، وذلك لتعزيز التعاون المشترك باعتبارها تشكل صرحا ثقافيا ومعلما حضاريا بارزا يترجم رؤية دولة قطر في أهمية الاستثمار في الثقافة لبناء الإنسان والمجتمع.
