Qatar Post organises ‘Iftar of the Fasting’ drive for third consecutive year
البريد ينظم حملة إفطار صائم للسنة الثالثة
Doha: Bringing together senior management and employees for one of its many Ramadan community initiatives, Qatar Post organised its “Iftar of the Fasting” drive yesterday.
Qatar Post staff packed and distributed 1,000 Iftar meals for fasters on the road and in central, highly congested areas in Doha, across five different locations, covering the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque, Souq Waqif Al Wakra, the Al Markhiya signal, the Al Sadd Signal, and the Doha Corniche.
The initiative was launched by Qatar Post for the third year in a row to celebrate and share the Holy Month’s spirit and values of togetherness and solidarity with all Doha residents and members of the Qatari society.
On this occasion, Faleh bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post, commented: “Our ‘Iftar of the Fasting’ drive embodies and celebrates the Holy Month’s spirit of generosity and solidarity. With our own social responsibility toward our community as our anchor, we strive to build strong, deep-rooted human connections, instill a culture of togetherness among members of the society, and share with them memorable moments during the Holy month of Ramadan.”
Other initiatives launched by Qatar Post in celebration of the Holy Month included its distribution of 120 daily lunchboxes among staff members, its donation drive rallying employees in support of charitable activities and underprivileged families, its Garangao celebration, and its yearly Suhoor gathering in honour and recognition of Qatar Post members for their distinguished efforts and remarkable performance in the past year.
تحت إشراف ومشاركة كبار المسؤولين والموظفين، نظم بريد قطر اليوم حملة “إفطار صائم”، حيث عملوا على تغليف 1000 وجبة إفطار في مبنى البريد العام وجرى توزيعها على الصائمين في الميادين وفي المناطق المزدحمة بالقرب من الإشارات الضوئية قبل موعد الإفطار في خمسة أماكن مختلفة في مدينة الدوحة، وهي مسجد الإمام محمد بن عبد الوهاب، سوق واقف الوكرة، إشارة المرخية، إشارة السد، والكورنيش.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال السيد فالح بن محمد النعيمي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لبريد قطر: “يأتي تنظيمنا لحملة إفطار صائم انسجاماً مع روح وقيم الشهر الفضيل المتمثلة بالعطاء والتكافل، وانطلاقاً من مسؤوليتنا الاجتماعية، حيث نسعى إلى تقوية وترسيخ الروابط الإنسانية ونشر روح التآخي بين أفراد المجتمع، ومشاركتهم أوقات مميزة خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، وبهذه المناسبة المباركة أيضاً، نظم بريد قطر عددا من الفعاليات، من بينها تجهيز 120 حقيبة غذائية للموظفين يومياً، وجمع التبرعات من الموظفين لصالح العائلات المتعففة والمؤسسات الخيرية، بالإضافة إلى تنظيم احتفالية قرنقعوه، وإقامة مأدبة سحور لتكريم موظفي البريد لجهودهم الرائعة وأدائهم المتميز.
