Daily 5-hour Closure of Al Shamal Road between Duhail and Al Gharrafa Interchanges for Two Months
إغلاق جزء من طريق الشمال بين تقاطع الدحيل وتقاطع الغرافة لمدة خمس ساعات
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces a road closure on a section of the Al Shamal Road between Duhail and Al Gharrafa Interchanges in both directions (including the service roads) for five (5) hours every day between 12 midnight and 5 am starting on Friday 3 May 2019. The closure will remain in place for two (2) months to enable the construction of Umm Lekhba Interchange bridges that form part of Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor.
During the diversion, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be able to use the alternative routes, as shown in the attached map.
Road users on Al Shamal Road heading southbound towards Doha have to use the exit at Duhail Interchange towards Al Gharrafa Street, drive to the Tilted Junction and turn left onto Al Luqta Street to reach Al Gharrafa Interchange from where they can exit southbound towards Doha.
Road users on Al Shamal Road heading northbound towards Al Shamal have to take the right exit at Al Gharrafa Interchange towards Khalifa Street and turn left onto Arab League Street, then continue straight to the intersection with Al Khafji Street, take a left onto Al Khafji Street and finally turn right onto Al Shamal Road at Duhail Interchange.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requests all road users to abide by the 50 kph speed limit and follow road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق جزء من طريق الشمال بين تقاطع الدحيل وتقاطع الغرافة في كلا الاتجاهين (بما في ذلك الطرق الخدمية) يوميا لمدة خمس ساعات من الساعة 12 من منتصف الليل وحتى الساعة 5 صباحاً ابتداء من يوم الجمعة 3 مايو 2019، ويستمر هذا الإغلاق لمدة شهرين بهدف استكمال الأعمال الانشائية لجسور تقاطع أم لخبا كجزء من مشروع محور صباح الأحمد.
يأتي هذا التغيير المروري بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور، حيث سيتعين على رواد الطريق استخدام الطرق البديلة كما هو موضح أدناه وبالخريطة المرفقة.
يتعين على رواد الطريق المتجهين جنوباً نحو الدوحة الانعطاف يمينا عند تقاطع الدحيل نحو شارع الغرافة ومواصلة رحلتهم مباشرةً للوصول الى التقاطع المائل بطريق خليفة افينيو حيث يتعين عليهم الانعطاف يسارا عبر شارع اللقطة إلى تقاطع الغرافة ومن ثم الاتجاه يمينا في اتجاه الدوحة.
يتعين على رواد الطريق المتجهين شمالاً نحو الشمال، استخدام المخرج الأيمن عند تقاطع الغرافة باتجاه شارع خليفة ومن ثم الإنعطاف يسارا عند شارع الجامعة العربية ومواصلة رحلتهم مباشرةً للوصول الى التقاطع مع شارع الخفجي ثم الانعطاف يسارا نحو تقاطع الدحيل ثم الانعطاف يمينا وصولاً لطريق الشمال.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتوجيه مستخدمي الطريق للطرق البديلة وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بالحد الأقصى للسرعة 50 كم في الساعة حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
