Speaker reviews parliamentary relations at PUIC meet

Rabat: The Speaker of the Shura Council, H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met yesterday with President of the House of Representatives at the Kingdom of Morocco, Habib El Malki, on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States (PUIC) conference and accompanying meetings, currently held in Rabat.
During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing parliamentary relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco, and ways to boost and develop them. They also discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the PUIC conference.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdullah bin Falah Al Dosari, and a number of members of the Shura Council.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Shura Council also met with Alassane Bala Sakande, the Speaker of the African Parliamentary Union and President of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso, on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Conference of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which is currently held in Rabat.
During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation relations between the Shura Council and the African Parliamentary Union and ways of boosting them, and reviewed the latest preparations by the State of Qatar to host the 140th session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
اجتمع سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود رئيس مجلس الشورى، أمس، مع سعادة السيد الحبيب المالكي رئيس مجلس النواب بالمملكة المغربية، وذلك على هامش الدورة الرابعة عشرة لمؤتمر اتحاد مجالس الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الإسلامي والاجتماعات المصاحبة لها المنعقدة في الرباط حالياً.
وجرى خلال الاجتماع بحث العلاقات البرلمانية القائمة بين دولة قطر والمملكة المغربية الشقيقة، وسبل دعمها وتطويرها وتعزيزها، ومناقشة أهم المواضيع المدرجة على جدول أعمال مؤتمر اتحاد مجالس الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الإسلامي.
حضر الاجتماع سعادة السيد عبدالله بن فلاح بن عبدالله الدوسري سفير دولة قطر لدى المغرب، وعدد من أعضاء مجلس الشورى.
