Qatar Charity implements hundreds of projects in Burkina Faso
مئات المشاريع التنموية والإغاثية لقطر الخيرية في بوركينافاسو
Doha: Qatar Charity implemented hundreds of relief and development projects over the past two months in Burkina Faso.
Some 29113 people benefited from Qatar Charity’s projects carried out in the areas of health, education, culture, social housing and welfare.
With the generous support from benefactors in Qatar, Qatar Charity (QC) managed to carry out hundreds of projects in Burkina Faso over the past two months, benefiting 29113 people.
The implemented projects worth more than QR3.6m included health, education, cultural, social housing projects and social welfare projects.
In the area of social welfare and sponsorships, Qatar Charity has provided social services to orphans belonging to low-income families and widows. Some 4672 families benefited from Qatar Charity’s welfare services.
Qatar Charity also drilled 12 surface and artesian wells, of which some were equipped with water reservoirs. It also built a medical centre and a housing unit that was handed over to the poor and the needy.
In the area of economic empowerment, Qatar Charity implemented 644 income-generating projects for underprivileged and unemployed people in poverty-stricken areas.
These projects were implemented to bring sustainable employment opportunities for the intended population, providing them with a constant income source for a dignified life. Such projects aim at improving the economic conditions of beneficiaries. Qatar Charity has implemented a relief programme, which included the distribution of dry food to 10,500 affected families in northeastern Burkina Faso.
The programme came as part of its emergency relief intervention for the victims of internal conflicts in northern Burkina Faso, which resulted in the death and displacement of a large number of people.
In continuation of its emergency relief efforts in the north, Qatar Charity sent a medical mission that examined patients, diagnosed diseases, and distributed the necessary medicines free of charge to them.
The relief programme received great praise and significant cooperation from the people and the competent authorities.
تمكنت قطر الخيرية من تنفيذ مشاريع متعددة في بوركينافاسو خلال الشهرين الماضيين استفاد منها نحو 29 ألفا و113 شخصا، وبقيمة مالية بلغت أكثر من 3.6 مليون ريال، شملت مشاريع صحة وتعليمية وثقافية ومشاريع السكن الاجتماعي، إضافة لجهود الرعاية الاجتماعية.
وفي مجال الرعاية الاجتماعية والكفالات تم تقديم خدمات اجتماعية دورية للأيتام من الأسر محدودي الدخل والأرامل استفاد منها نحو 4672 أسرة، كما تم حفر 12 بئرا سطحية وارتوازية بعضها بخزان ماء، إضافة إلى بناء مستوصف ووحدة سكنية تم تسليمها لمستحقيها.
كما نفذت قطر الخيرية 644 مشروعا مدرا للدخل لصالح الفئات الفقيرة والعاطلين عن العمل، وشملت هذه المشاريع مجالات مختلفة حيث توفر للمستهدفين منها فرص عمل مستدامة وتدر عليهم دخلا مستمرا يضمن لهم حياة كريمة، وتساهم بشكل كبير في تحسين ظروفهم الاقتصادية.
وفي إطار تدخلها الإغاثي العاجل لمنكوبي النزاعات الداخلية في شمال بوركينافاسو والتي أسفرت عن مقتل وتشريد عدد كبير، نفذت قطر الخيرية برنامجا إغاثيا تضمن توزيع مواد غذائية جافة على 10500 أسرة متضررة في مناطق مثل بارسالغو وكيلبو وفوبي في شمال شرقي بوركينافاسو.
واستمرارا لجهود الإغاثة العاجلة في منطقة الشمال، أوفدت قطر الخيرية بعثة طبية قامت بمعاينة المرضى وتشخيص الحالات المرضية ووزعت عليهم الأدوية الضرورية بشكل مجاني.
وقد لقي برنامج الإغاثة ترحابا شديدا وتعاونا من الأهالي والجهات المختصة وإشادة الحكومة والمجتمع المدني وغيرهم من الهيئات والمؤسسات والأفراد.
وقال سعادة السيد سعيد زاغرى مدير ديوان رئيس الدولة في بوركينافاسو “إن مشاريع قطر الخيرية تساعد في جهود مكافحة الفقر والبطالة، كما أن هذه الإغاثة العاجلة توفر وسائل العيش، والرعاية الصحية الأساسية للمنكوبين وتساعد في تأمين حياة معيشية جيدة”.. جاء ذلك وفقا لبيان صادر عن مؤسسة الإغاثة والطوارئ في الدولة.
بدوره، قال السيد محمد النوايتي مدير مكتب قطر الخيرية ببوركينافاسو “لقد دأبت قطر الخيرية على تنفيذ مشاريعها التنموية والانسانية في بوركينافاسو حرصا منها على تحسين المستوى المعيشي للأسر وتأمين دخل ثابت لمن يستفيد من المشاريع المدرة للدخل، وتشجيعهم على الإنتاج”.. مؤكدا أن قطر الخيرية لن تدخر جهدا في تحقيق كل ما من شأنه تحقيق التنمية في بوركينا فاسو، ومد يد العون إلى شعبها من خلال مشاريعها التنموية والإنسانية.
