Surveillance cameras will be installed on the streets to monitor violations of public hygiene law.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment represented by the General Cleanliness Department has revealed a plan to catch violations of public hygiene law by using surveillance cameras of National Command Center (NCC) of the Ministry of Interior
The plan was announced by Director of General Cleanliness Department Safar Mubarak Al Shafi while launching the media campaign of the second phase to create awareness of public hygiene law under a theme of ‘Keep It Clean’ in a press conference held yesterday at the headquarters of the Department.
“First time during the coming period, in coordination and cooperation with authorities concerned at the Ministry of Interior, the violations of public hygiene law will be monitored by surveillance cameras of National Command Center (NCC) of the Ministry of Interior,” said Director of General Cleanliness Department Safar Mubarak Al Shafi.
The General Directorate of Traffic Patrols will also participate in monitoring violations The campaign will coordinate with concerned authorities in the Ministry of Interior to report violations through Metrash.
He said that a number of Ministry employees will be available at the control rooms of NCC to monitor and catch the violations in coordination with the Traffic Department.
“Traffic police already started monitoring and catching the violations of public hygiene law,” Al Shafi added.
In the first phase between February and December last year, 4,158 violations were reported by all municipalities and more than QR 5 million collected as fine.

دشنت وزارة البلدية والبيئة اليوم، الخطة الإعلامية للمرحلة الثانية لقانون النظافة العامة رقم 18 لسنة 2017 ، وذلك تحت شعار”خلّوها نظيفة”.
أوضح السيد سفر آل شافي مدير إدارة النظافة العامة أنه سيتم لأول مرة استخدام كاميرات المراقبة NCC التابعة لوزارة الداخلية في رصد وتحرير مخالفات النظافة العامة بشوارع ومناطق الدولة..
وأضاف آل شافي من خلال حديثه عن حملة خلوها نظيفة أن عملية تحرير المخالفات سيتم من خلال فريق الوزارة بغرفة عمليات وزارة الداخلية، بالتعاون مع رجال المرور، فضلا عن دور مفتشي ومراقبي البلديات.
وأشار الهدف من حملة خلوها نظيفة هو ايصال رسالة وزارة البلدية والبيئة للجمهور من كافة شرائح المجتمع كونهم شريك أساسي ومهم في تطبيق وتنفيذ مقتضيات وضوابط قانون النظافة العامة على أرض الواقع سعيا للحفاظ على نظافة بلدنا وجماليتها.
من جانبه، أشار المهندس عبدالله سعد بو شايع الممثل عن وزارة البلدية والبيئة، إلى اشتراط المبادرة التعهد بالالتزام بتسليم الأغنام المرقمة بترقيم البرنامج في المواعيد والأماكن المحددة، والتي سيتم توضيحها من قبل المختصين بإدارة الثروة الحيوانية بوزارة البلدية والبيئة عند إتمام إجراءات التسجيل في البرنامج.
وأكد سفر آل شافي أنه تم تحرير 4158 مخالفة نظافة منذ فبراير وحتى ديسمبر عام 2018، وبلغت قيمة المخالفات 5,073,760 ريال قطري، وهدفنا من حملة خلوها نظيفة تقليل نسبة المخالفات من منطلق تعاون الجمهور معنا في الحفاظ على النظافة العامة لبلدنا.مشيراً أن وزارة البلدية لا تهدف لتحصيل الغرامات، وإنما التقليل من حجم المخالفات، ويجري التنسيق مع وزارة الداخلية بشأن ربط مخالفات النظافة بتطبيق مطراش مستقبلا، بحيث يتم إعلام المخالف بمخالفته فورا وبالتالي المساهمة في التقليل منها وعدم تكرارها.
