HIA launches Safety Week 2019
مطار حمد الدولي يطلق حملة أسبوع السلامة
Hamad International Airport (HIA) announced yesterday the launch of the airport’s safety week campaign which began yesterday on the premises and will continue until January 17.
In line with aviation and airfield safety, HIA Safety Week 2019 aims to raise awareness on aviation safety standards and ensure best industry practices amongst HIA staff and stakeholders.
As part of Qatar Airways Group initiative, HIA, with the participation of other Qatar Airways Group stakeholders and agencies operating at HIA, will conduct multiple training sessions on the various risks and dangers at the airfield to help refresh and enhance the staff’s understanding and knowledge on the airport safety and security protocols.
This event will focus on advancing safety and security development and individual improvement through experience and learning, to foster commitment and support of the management towards safety for the wider QR Group community.
The topics that will be discussed during the Safety Week intend to upgrade the general safety culture at the airport by creating an atmosphere for data sharing and learning in the realm of safety hazards.
Hundreds of participants will be encouraged to consider their own well-being and their obligation in providing a safe environment for all airport users.
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport, stated: “Hamad International Airport places a high priority in the commitment of guidelines and safety and security regulations in daily operations. It is our responsibility to provide a safe environment for all airport users.
This helps us ensure the well-being of travellers and the welfare of our staff and stakeholders. It is through initiatives like Safety Week that HIA can guarantee enhanced airport safety and security and ensure passenger satisfaction.”
Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Group Safety and Security, Ashish Jain further added: “The core objective of this initiative is to emphasise the importance of safety and security within the airport and the Qatar Airways group.
We aim for each staff member to place safety and security as their number one priority in their day-to-day work environment”.
As the State of Qatar is ranked as one of the world’s top countries in civil aviation safety according to International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) 2017 Security Audit Report, HIA strives to further advance safety and security through best in class training.
In addition to annual campaigns, the airport will continue to invest in the latest cutting-edge technologies to improve passenger experience, while complying with global safety and security standards.

أعلن مطار حمد الدولي عن إطلاقه حملة “أسبوع السلامة”، والتي يجري تنفيذها في مرافق المطار ومبانيه من 13 يناير وحتى 17 يناير 2019. ويأتي ذلك تماشياً مع تطبيق السلامة في الطيران والمطارات حيث يهدف “أسبوع السلامة” في مطار حمد الدولي لعام 2019 إلى تعزيز الوعي بمعايير وإجراءات السلامة وضمان الالتزام بأفضل الممارسات في قطاع الطيران بين موظفي مطار حمد الدولي وشركائه.
وفي إطار مبادرة مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، سوف يقيم مطار حمد الدولي بمشاركة مجموعة أخرى من الشركاء والهيئات التابعة لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، سلسلة من الدورات التدريبية حول الأخطار والمخاطر المحتملة في المطارات، وذلك للمساعدة في تجديد وتعزيز فهم الموظفين ومعرفتهم بإجراءات الأمن والسلامة داخل مرافق المطار. وسوف تركز هذه الدورات على ترسيخ إجراءات الأمن والسلامة المعمول بها والارتقاء بالمستوى المهني للأفراد عبر صقل تجاربهم وتعميق معارفهم، وكذلك تعزيز الالتزام بأنظمة إدارة السلامة والمخاطر ضِمن مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية على نطاق أوسع.
وتهدف الموضوعات التي يتم طرحها للنقاش خلال فعاليات «أسبوع السلامة» إلى الارتقاء بثقافة السلامة في المطار عبر خلق أجواء سلسة لتبادل البيانات والمعرفة فيما يتعلق بالمخاطر التي تهدد الأمن والسلامة. وتتيح هذه الدورات للمئات من المشاركين تحديد أولويات سلامتهم الخاصة وتعميق التزامهم بتوفير بيئة آمنة لهم ولجميع مستخدمي المطار.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال المهندس بدر محمد المير، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في مطار حمد الدولي: «يعطي مطار حمد الدولي أولوية قصوى للالتزام بمعايير وقواعد السلامة والأمن في العمليات التشغيلية اليومية. إن مسؤوليتنا هي أن نوفر بيئة آمنة لجميع مستخدمي المطار، وهذا يساعدنا بلا شك في ضمان سلامة وراحة مسافرينا وموظفينا وشركائنا في المطار. ومن خلال مبادرات مثل أسبوع السلامة يمكننا ضمان تعزيز إجراءات السلامة والأمن في المطار وكذلك الحرص على رضا مسافرينا».
وأضاف السيد أشيش جاين، نائب رئيس أول للمجموعة للسلامة والأمن في الخطوط الجوية القطرية: «إن الهدف الأساسي من هذه الحملة هو تأكيد أهمية السلامة والأمن داخل المطار وضمن مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية. ونحن نسعى دائماً لأن يضع كل موظف إجراءات السلامة والأمن كأولوية أولى لديه في بيئة العمل اليومية».
وبالنظر إلى أن دولة قطر تعتبر من أكثر الدول أماناً في العالم بحسب تقرير التدقيق الأمني للمنظمة الدولية للطيران المدني (إيكاو) لعام 2017، لذا يسعى مطار حمد الدولي إلى تعزيز إجراءات السلامة والأمن عبر تنفيذه لأفضل البرامج التدريبية بالإضافة إلى الحملات السنوية، كما يواصل المطار استثماره في أحدث التقنيات المتطورة التي من شأنها تحسين تجربة السفر، وفي الوقت نفسه تعميق الالتزام بالمعايير العالمية المعمول بها في مجال الأمن والسلامة.
مطار حمد الدولي حائز على تصنيف الخمس نجوم من شركة سكاي تراكس لعام 2018 وهو واحد من بين خمسة مطارات أخرى في العالم تحصل على هذا التصنيف المرموق. كما حاز المطار على جائزة خامس أفضل مطار في العالم في حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية للعام 2018. وهو مرشح الآن لجائزة أفضل مطار في العالم لعام 2019.
