Woqod opens new petrol station in Al Gharrafa

DOHA: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) opened yesterday a new petrol station at Al Gharrafa area totaling 76 petrol stations run by the company across the country. A separate mobile diesel station also opened near Woqod Bu Fesseela station, said Woqod in a statement.

Woqod’s CEO, Engr. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: “We opened new fixed petrol station Al Gharrafa-2. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort.”

He said that Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. “Woqod team would like to extend their gratitude to all concerned governmental and private entities that contributed/are contributing to the completion of this project,” said Al Muhannadi.

The new petrol station at Al Gharrafa is spread over an area of 15000 square meters and has 4 lanes with 12 dispensers that will serve Al Gharrafa and its neighborhood.

The new petrol stations offer round-the-clock services to residents, and include Sidra convenience store, Manual Car wash, Oil change and tire repair, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.

Al Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 21 new petrol stations, a large number of which are expected to be operational during the current year, noting that there are 9 stations in the bidding phase and 14 stations in the design phase.

He pointed out that Woqod, in furtherance of customer’s satisfaction, opened a mobile diesel station near Woqod Bu Fesseela station and currently working on dismantling of diesel dispensers from Bu Fesseela station and will replace them by petrol dispenser to reduce the vehicles congestion.

افتتحت قطر للوقود «وقود»، أمس الأربعاء، محطة جديدة في منطقة الغرافة، ليصل عدد محطاتها الإجمالي إلى 76 محطة ثابتة ومتنقلة. وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن استراتيجية الشركة الرامية إلى توسيع شبكة محطاتها، وخدمة جميع مناطق الدولة.

وبهذه المناسبة، صرح المهندس سعد راشد المهندي -الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة- قائلاً: يسرنا اليوم افتتاح محطة وقود الغرافة -2، لتلبية احتياجات السكان والعملاء، مؤكداً أن افتتاح هذة المحطة الجديدة من شأنه أن يترجم خطط «وقود» الطموحة في توسيع شبكة محطاتها، وتسهيل الوصول إليها، كما يهدف إلى تلبية الطلب المتزايد للمنتجات البترولية في السوق المحلي، وضمان توفير منتجات وخدمات عالية الجودة لجميع العملاء في أنحاء الدولة.

وأشار إلى أن «وقود» قامت في الآونة الأخيرة بتسريع وتيرة أعمال بناء المحطات، من أجل تعزيز خدمة العملاء، معرباً عن شكر «وقود» وتقديرها لكل الجهات ذات العلاقة التي ساهمت وتساهم في إنجاز مشروعاتها الحيوية.

وتبلغ مساحة محطة الغرافة -2 (15000 متر مربع)، وتحتوي على 4 خطوط؛ تتضمن 12 مضخات لتعبئة الوقود لخدمة مرتادي منطقة الغرافة والمناطق المجاورة لها، وقد تمت زيادة عدد المضخات، للتعزيز من جودة الخدمة، وتقليل الزحام الناتج عن إغلاق كثير من المحطات الأهلية في الآونة الأخيرة.

وتقدم المحطة لعملائها خدامات على مدار الساعة، بما في ذلك متجر سدرة للمستلزمات اليومية، وخدمات غسيل السيارات اليدوي، وتغيير الزيوت وإصلاح الإطارات، فضلاً عن مراكز توزيع أسطوانات الغاز «شفاف»، بالإضافة إلى توفير جميع أنواع المنتجات البترولية للمركبات الخفيفة.

وأضاف المهندي أن «قطر للوقود» تشرف حالياً على تنفيذ 21 محطة وقود جديدة، من المتوقع أن يتم تشغيل عدد كبير منها خلال العام الحالي، مشيراً إلى وجود 9 محطات في مرحلة المناقصة، وعدد 14 محطات في مرحلة التصميم.

وأوضح أنه تم افتتاح محطة متنقلة في بوفسيلة تعمل لخدمة عملاء الديزل، وسيتم إلغاء مضخات تزويد الديزل في محطة وقود بوفسيلة وتحويلها فيما بعد إلى الجازولين، وذلك لمقتضيات تعزيز خدمة العملاء، والحد من الأزدحام.;
