GRSIA participates in ISSA International Conference in Kuwait

DOHA: The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority ( GRSIA) has participated in the 19th ISSA International Conference of Actuaries, Statisticians and Experts in Social Security Investment, which concluded in Kuwait recently.

The conference, hosted by the Kuwait General Organization for Social Insurance for three days, was held for actuaries, statisticians and investment experts in the fields of social security.

The conference participants discussed how sustainability and adequacy of pensions, one of the most common forms of security at the global level, have contributed in sustainable development goals in recent decades.

They also reviewed efforts to develop covalent pensions and their role in poverty reduction, as it improves income levels, and give appropriate old-age insurance, and stimulate national economic growth.

The conference also addressed the importance of actuarial studies in determining trends in the labor market, the effects of death and aging, and the inability of security institutions, and their impact on the desired social protection.

Participants discussed the role of investments in securing sustainable security, possible future trends in employment processes, how to design pension programs and the role of actuaries in overcoming their sustainability challenges, depending on countries’ capacity to adequately finance covalent programs, taking into account their demographic, economic and social changes.

شاركت الهيئة العامة للتقاعد والتأمينات الاجتماعية في المؤتمر التاسع عشر للجمعية الدولية للضمان الاجتماعي «الإيسا»، الذي اختتم أعماله في دولة الكويت الشقيقة مؤخراً.

وعقد المؤتمر، الذي استضافته المؤسسة العامة للتأمينات الاجتماعية الكويتية على مدى ثلاثة أيام، للخبراء الاكتواريين والإحصائيين، وخبراء الاستثمار المختصين بمجالات الضمان الاجتماعي.

وبحث المشاركون في المؤتمر كيفية استدامة وكفاية المعاشات التقاعدية، التي تعتبر من أكثر أشكال الضمان شيوعاً على المستوى العالمي، حيث ساهمت توسعتها خلال العقود الأخيرة في زيادة التركيز على أهداف التنمية المستدامة، كما استعرضوا الجهود المبذولة لتطوير المعاشات التساهمية، ودورها في الحد من الفقر، كونها تسمح بتحسين مستويات الدخل، وتمنح تأميناً مناسباً ضد الشيخوخة والعجز والوفاة المبكرة، وتحفز النمو الاقتصادي الوطني.

كما تناول المؤتمر أهمية الدراسات الاكتوارية في تحديد اتجاهات سوق العمل، وتأثيرات الوفاة والشيخوخة والعجز على مؤسسات الضمان، وانعكاساتها على الحماية الاجتماعية المنشودة.

وناقش المشاركون في المؤتمر دور الاستثمارات في تأمين ضمان مستدام، والاتجاهات المستقبلية المحتملة لعمليات التوظيف، وكيفية تصميم البرامج التقاعدية، ودور الاكتواريين في تذليل تحديات استدامتها، حسب قدرات البلدان على التمويل الكافي للبرامج التساهمية، مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار تغيراتها الديمغرافية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية.;
