Closure of Sections of Service Road on Al Khafji Street and Al Shamal Road

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced the temporary closure of sections of the service road on Al Khafji street and Al Shamal Road for road users coming from Al Khafji Street towards the north, which will be implemented for a duration of 2 months starting on Saturday 03 November 2018 to enable the construction works Umm Lekhba Interchange (Landmark Interchange) and the surrounding roads.

During the closure, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be required to follow the below directions in order to reach their desired destination, as shown in the attached map:

Traffic heading to the North:

Road users heading on Al Khafji Street will be able to use the first exit on Duhail roundabout instead of Al Khafji service road; continue straight on Al Shamal Road then use the first right exit to reach Duhail petrol station and Duhail Street.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.

تقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” بإغلاق أجزاء من طريق الخدمات أمام الحركة المرورية القادمة من شارع الخفجي باتجاه طريق الشمال عند تقاطع الدحيل اعتباراً من السبت 3 نوفمبر 2018 و لمدة شهرين بهدف إتاحة المجال أمام استكمال تنفيذ أعمال تطوير تقاطع أم لخبا (اللاندمارك) والشوارع المحيطة.

وخلال فترة الإغلاق الذي يأتي بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور، سيقوم رواد الطريق باتباع الاتجاهات المذكورة حسب وجهتهم كما هو موضح بالخريطة المرفقة:

المتجهون نحو الشمال:

يستطيع رواد الطريق على شارع الخفجي استخدام المخرج الأول عند دوار الدحيل بدلا من طريق الخدمات ومتابعة السير مباشرة على طريق الشمال ثم استخدام أول مخرج بإتجاه اليمين للوصول إلى محطة بترول الدحيل وشارع الدحيل.

ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، و تهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الإلتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة و اتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظا على سلامتهم.
