Single window panel helped to set up over 5,000 new firms

DOHA: The Coordinationg Committee for the Single Window System Management has managed to establish over 5,000 local companies and 80 international firms till date and has reduced the time spent on the process of issuing licenses from one year and half to 72 hours only.

Speaking during the panel discussion on the second day of The International Products Exhibition and Conference (IPEC), Salman Mohamed Kaldari, the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for the Single Window System Management gave an overview about the privileges provided for the foreign investors.

He said that the Single Window System is based on two main pillars: the first one is facilitating, simplifying and linking all the procedures provided by 21 governmental entities related to establishing or issuing a license for a new business, and the second one is facilitating the dealings of the local and foreign investors at a single window.

The Single Window System offers a wide range of privileges for qualified investors which includes helping investors get all the necessary facilities to start a business in just 72 hours providing immediate access to visas, offering guarantees with land readiness of industrial infrastructure like water, electricity, gas.

The Coordinating Committee for the Single Window System Management was established in 2016 to redesign, facilitate and accelerate all operations related to business services.

He added that the Committee’s ultimate goal is to become an ideal platform for foreign investor to benefit from a broad range of services that helps them complete all their operations and communication with different government bodies through a Single Window, and grant them access to information and investment opportunities for entering the Qatari market.

قال السيد سلمان كلداري، رئيس اللجنة التنسيقية لإدارة نظام النافذة الواحدة: «توفر دولة قطر عبر نظام النافذة الواحدة امتيازات كثيرة وكبيرة للمستثمر المحلي والأجنبي، منها تخليص جميع التراخيص خلال 72 ساعة، وتوفير أراضٍ جاهزة، مع بنية تحتية كاملة (طرق، وماء، وكهرباء، وغاز)، فضلاً عن قربها من موانئ التصدير، ومنها ميناء حمد أحد أكبر موانئ المنطقة، ناهيك عن شبكة الشحن الجوي، وتوفير تصاريح للعمالة بشكل فوري، وإعطاء الأولوية للمنتجات المحلية من ناحية المشتريات الحكومية».

وأفاد بأن النافذة نجحت في تحقيق عدد كبير من الإنجازات، حيث تمكنت حتى هذه اللحظة من المساهمة في إنشاء أكثر من 5000 شركة محلية و80 شركة دولية، كما استطاعت تقليل المدة التي تستغرقها إجراءات إصدار التراخيص من سنة ونصف السنة إلى 72 ساعة فقط، من أجل تسريع عملية إنشاء 60 مصنعاً في 8 قطاعات مختلفة، وتشمل: الأغذية، والمعادن، والورق، والمطاط، والبلاستيك، والمركبات الكيميائية، والمنتجات الكهربائية والطبية، والآلات والمركبات. وقد وصل عدد الطلبات التي قدّمها المستثمرون حتى الآن إلى 8000 طلباً لإنشاء شركات ومصانع.;
