Indonesia’s Vice-President thanks Amir for providing aid
نائب رئيس إندونيسيا يشكر صاحب السمو على إغاثة ضحايا «سولاويسي»
DOHA: The Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, has expressed thanks and appreciation to Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for providing humanitarian assistance for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
This came during his meeting with the delegation of the international search and rescue team of Lekhwiya, in the presence of Qatar’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Ahmed bin Jassim Al Hamar.
The Ambassador expressed deep regret over the loss of life and destruction of property caused by the earthquake. He stressed that Qatar stands by the people and the Government of Indonesia, pointing out that Qatar continues to send aid and relief to those affected in Sulawesi. The Ambassador pointed out that Qatar Red Crescent Society delegation is in Palu to provide assistance to those affected, adding that Qatar Charity is planning to provide assistance there.
Indonesia’s National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB) on Sunday received the Qatari aid assistance, which was directed by H H the Amir to be sent to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Sulawesi. A C17 aircraft of the Amiri Air Force arrived in Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport in Balikpapan, carrying the Qatari aid which included medical supplies, first aid and tents, accompanied by a group of the international search and rescue team of Lekhwiya.
أعرب دولة السيد يوسف كالا نائب رئيس جمهورية إندونيسيا، عن الشكر والتقدير لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، على تقديم المساعدات الإنسانية لإغاثة ضحايا الزلزال الذي تلاه تسونامي في جزيرة سولاويسي الإندونيسية.
جاء ذلك خلال استقباله أمس، وفد مجموعة البحث والإنقاذ القطرية الدولية التابعة لقوة «لخويا»، بحضور سعادة السيد أحمد بن جاسم الحمر سفير دولة قطر لدى إندونيسيا.
وأعرب سعادة السفير عن الأسف العميق لفقدان الأرواح وتدمير الممتلكات جراء الزلزال، وأكد وقوف دولة قطر إلى جانب شعب وحكومة إندونيسيا، مشيراً إلى استمرار دولة قطر في إرسال المعونات والإغاثة إلى الأشقاء في سولاويسي.
ولفت سعادته إلى تواجد وفد الهلال الأحمر القطري في منطقة بالو لتقديم المساعدات للمتضررين، وقال «إن (قطر الخيرية) تخطط لتقديم المساعدات هنالك». وكانت طائرة «c17» تابعة للقوات الجوية الأميرية بوزارة الدفاع، قد وصلت أمس إلى منطقة باليكبابان، حملت على متنها 48 طناً من المساعدات القطرية، التي شملت مواد طبية وإسعافات أولية وخياماً.;
