QFFD-funded project in Somalia begins
“قطر للتنمية” يمول مشروع إعادة تأهيل وبناء وزارة التخطيط الصومالية
Mogadishu: The Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Khayre laid the cornerstone for the rehabilitation and building project of the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of Somalia funded by Qatar through Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD).
This project is one of the development projects provided by Qatar to Somalia in accordance with the agreement signed by the two sides in November of 2017 for the implementation of a number of projects in Somalia.
Somalia’s Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, Gamal Mohamed Hassan; Somalia’s Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education, Abdullahi Godah Barre; Ambassador of Qatar to Somalia, Hassan bin Hamza Hashem, and a number of senior officials in Somalia attended the ceremony.
Somali Prime Minister thanked Qatar for its continued support and expressed hope that the Ministry building would be rebuilt within a year and called for Somali people to cooperate in the rehabilitation of federal government buildings.
وضع دولة السيد حسن علي خيري رئيس الوزراء في جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية، حجر الأساس لمشروع إعادة تأهيل وبناء مبنى وزارة التخطيط والاستثمار والتنمية الاقتصادية الصومالية بتمويل من دولة قطر عبر صندوق قطر للتنمية.
ويعد هذا المشروع واحدا من المشاريع التنموية المقدمة من دولة قطر إلى جمهورية الصومال وفق الاتفاقية التي وقع عليها الجانبان في نوفمبر من العام 2017م لتنفيذ جملة من المشاريع في الصومال.
حضر حفل وضع حجر الأساس سعادة السيد جمال محمد حسن وزير التخطيط والاستثمار والتنمية الاقتصادية، وسعادة السيد عبدالله جودح بري وزير التربية والثقافة والتعليم العالي، وسعادة السيد حسن بن حمزة هاشم سفير دولة قطر لدى الصومال، وعدد من كبار المسؤولين في الصومال.
وشكر دولة رئيس الوزراء الصومالي خلال الحفل دولة قطر على دعمها المستمر، وأعرب عن الأمل في إعادة بناء مبنى الوزارة خلال عام، ودعا إلى التعاون الشعبي الصومالي من أجل تأهيل مباني الحكومة الفيدرالية .
